I'm farting around with Fences after GL suggested it a few posts up. Finding it a very fun alternative to relying completely on Rocketdock, might organise my stuff logically in future but for now it can sit around like this.

deskscapes also uses videos for it by the way. it doesn't use that much cpu or memory though, makes no difference for me at least.

At least most of them are right? I thought even the free version came with some water effect that was rendered on the fly. That's sort of a buzzkill I guess... I've been experimenting using the screen saver as the background. The ribbons screen saver takes like 3% CPU usage for my OC e7200, so not bad at all.

From what I've read they haven't officially released Dream Aquarium for the mac but I hear it works fine using CrossOver. There are alternatives but apparently people tend to like DA more than the other aquarium savers. Also remember there's the wallsaver mac widget which lets you turn any mac screensaver into your desktop wallpaper.

I'm under a heavy workload at the moment so I press Ctrl-D when I get stressed and it cheers me up somewhat.

I love the colors in that wallpaper (that's from interfacelift, right?) but it looks too obviously rendered for my tastes. The grass looks waaaaaaay too fake.
