Tom Jane, Lance Henriksen, Kris Kristofferson, Brad Dourif and Ron Perlman
It may be my Dutch roots but I know none of those people.

Tom Jane:  The Punisher, Mickey Mantle in 61*, and a bad guy in the second Crow movie if I remember correctly, probably a lot of other stuff that I haven't seen.

Lance Henriksen: Bishop in Aliens, Frank Black in Millennium, Vukovich in the Terminator, Admiral Hackett in Mass Effect, and the protagonist in Run Like Hell

Kris Kristofferson: Musician/Actor - Wrote Sunday Morning Coming down (Johnny Cash picked it up), he was the crime boss villain in Mel Gibson's re-cut of Payback, he was in a couple of the Blade movies, and he played the badguy in NetForce (if you didn't see it, you didn't miss much...it had Scott Bakula in it). He has a bunch of older movies I've never seen.

Brad Dourif: (The creepy/psycho guy)...He was a scientist in Alien Resurrection, the blind psycho killer in The Prophecy 3, he was also in Run Like Hell, and he was the voice of Chucky (Child's Play), a lot of guest roles on Sci-Fi and mystery stuff over the years.

Ron Perlman: Hellboy, Was also in Blade 2 and Alien Resurrection, played the Beast in the version of Beauty and the Beast that took place in the sewer and starred Linda Hamilton, Sons of Anarchy, the voice of Fallout (you know the "War, war never changes..."), Jagger Valance in Chronicles of Riddick:Escape from Butcher bay...plus a ton of other roles and voice over work.

Three of them you've probably heard a few times if you've played a fair number of video games in the last eight years.

I am pleasantly surprised by how much I actually know of those people.

I would have to play this game on mute. Jack Black's voice annoys me to no end.

I love the fact that some numbers of the soundtrack comes from bands that are so underground. Cloven Hoof rules. \m/

I was just going to post about the demo but I see someone beat me to it. Originally, I wasn't that interested in the game, partly due to Jack Black, because I don't find him that funny in most of the roles I've seen him play, and partly because the game didn't look that interesting at first blush.

I was bored though and decided to give it a try when I saw the demo was up, because it is a Tim Schafer game.

I was really impressed with it. The intro made me laugh out loud a couple of times, and the one liners and quips tossed out during game play prove that with the right material, Jack Black can be funny. The gameplay is pretty smooth, and there is even a light guitar hero-ish button press mini game. I do see the auto-lock on of one of the special axe attacks being a bit problematic later on, if you're trying to kill one thing and it jumps you over to something else - but other then that, the controls were spot on.

But really, the writing is the best part. The scene where Eddie is "praying" his way down a hill in a demon contraption is worth the download time alone.

Overall, it has gone from being a game I didn't give a damn about to something I'm actually looking forward to.

And the subtle Danzig-ness of the main character's appearance, and some of the skulls/monsters was an added bonus as well.

I like this game it's a shame that it has uncharted to take away it's sales.

BTW Jack black has been dedicated to this game so much.

i didn't like the demo that much, but i could already tell the full version is going to be really good

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

They did a feature about this game on Qore a month ago. It really looks sick. They basically started spawning visuals for the landscape and characters straight off Metal album covers. The whole project kicks ass. Definitely grabbing this when it's out.

i got it. so far it's pretty awesome. not digging the battles really because the controls are awkward, but i really like the segments where you just play as eddie killing demons.

I bought this game earlier today and have not been able to put it down! it is AWESOME! Highly entertaining, but it does have a few things that are.... well for lack of a better word irritating. for one thing, the game has an AWESOME soundtrack; but its total fail becuase the only way to listen to it whilst playing is to stop what your doing, this is becuase the music comes from your car's radio, but whenever you do anything, like talk to some one or use a landscape camera thing the music custs out, so whilst the sound track is awesome, its pointless becuase you can't listen to it whilst you rock stuff to death.

The fact that your guitar is effectively a magic attack doesn't detract at all from the fact that its awesome, you can literaly rock enemies to death, either with lightning bolts or pyrotechnics or some other awsome shit.
The enviroment, is AMAZING, some of the stuff they did is plain awesome, but the graphicly i think they could do with a tightning of the textures since they look a little low res in some areas, also, MY GOD, haven't they hurd of Anti-Aliasing? Seriusly this is a PS3, doesn't it have AA?

Overal Well worth the money i paid, hell it wasn't even the most expensive game you can get, most games are like £50.. well last time i checked that was the average so for £40 i was happy with it, even picked up a copy GH3 for £5 since i lost my own one.
the only thing i hope is that the game is longer then i think it is, if it isn't then its kinda short (not that i won't replay it again... and again... and maybey again?)

Seriusly this is a PS3,

It's not an exclusive title, and it's published by EA. So you know they made it to suit both consoles, rather than fit to the ps3.
