also I have never been to the 9:30 club strangely enough. I haven't been to the Electric Factory either but then again it's not like I've lived i philly my entire life.

i think sonic youth is one of those bands gw surprisingly ignores considering how the tastes have evolved.

like we went from mars volta to bort music to INDIE kind of and youth never really got more than panda and I discussing it imho but they're actually one of the few NAME BANDS i think are still surprisingly good to listen to.

i say all this to preface the fact i have a vague inkling from somewhere that i've heard their concerts are not very good for some reason. this is however really vague so take it with a grain of salt.

i also will not be attending as they're all too far away from me!

they're obviously not as energetic/good live anymore because they've aged, but the crowd is always so into sonic youth that it doesn't matter and you end up having an amazing time anyway. one of the best crowds you could get at a show

i think its more like a foregone conclusion. i didnt like them for a while because i just COULDNT GET INTO IT but theyre one of my favorite bands now and its like, theyre probably one of a lot of people's favorite bands here, so whats to say?

YES, THEY ARE GOOD

the least interesting music to talk about is the one that there's a common consensus on.
