Remember when the first X-Men movie came out, and it was incredible?

you should look up what incredible means.

no really it doesn't mean good, it means UNBELIEVABLE as in actually unbelievable. but that's a semantic point thats completely outdated! and no I never thought W...WHOA. the fact that no one can write comic books or comic book movies well is a commentary on the incredible failure of people and yeah SPIDERMAN et al were not good movies that I would describe as amazing (the def we're using here).

did you really think X-Men was amazing? it was just a shitty little blockbuster man. just like the rest of the movies that come out in summer and get forgotten until you see it in the background at some kind of crappy party where more people are playing Tekken than drinking.

i'm only bringing this up because i've heard other people express similar points of view because of this movie: remember...how good the first two were...and no they were just MOVIES. they weren't BAD but even someone like me that didn't sperg out over Batman and Ironman can tell you they were much better!

X-Men was the first truly good comic book movie I had ever seen.  Maybe "incredible" is too strong a word, but it was still really good.

yeah i can't believe someone would say but remember how good the first two xmen movies were???  they weren't good at all!  they were just... not as atrocious as x3.  i remember both being kind of dumb but IN VARYING DEGREES.  i don't get why people rave about them or spiderman or anything really.  with the exception of spiderman 3 which really was awful, theyre all just completely mediocre and i guess that is enough to DAZZLE people.  whoa an unexceptional interpretation of a dumb comic .. . . s...sugoi...

or maybe you are just an exceptionally grumpy old man cursed to live in the body of a young black man in his twenties with no memory of his prior life, always feeling the subconscious scream of the young soul trapped underneath but not understanding what it means...

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

just saw the new Xmen. it was okay. it was definitely better than the 3rd xmen movie, but thats honestly not saying much. i loled in the beginning when young wolverine yelled though, it was really funny. some of the special effects were a bit lame, like wolverines claws LOOKED REALLY FAKE in a few scenes. theres really no excuse for that in this day and age, tbh. people could do better jobs in fuckin photoshop.

Deadpool was really cool though. the secret ending i got was

copied from the other thread. youre dumb treg it wasnt that bad

although i must admit, like the young wolverine yelling part, some parts did make me cringe/feel awkward because they were really poorly done. the entire fight with the Blob seemed really unnecessary, and was pretty much just a way to insert a FUNNY JOKE FIGHT SEQUENCE thing

I disagree with the idea that X3 is worse than Wolverine. X3 actually has a somewhat cohesive, interesting plot, with characters that are much more well written; Wolverine himself especially. X3 is actually about something, XOW is not. X3 actually runs on a story, it doesn't rely 100% on plot devices, character cameos, etc to move the story forward. Yeah, X3 sucks, but it does do some things right in terms of atmosphere, tone.... Wolverine just seems wrong all around.

My older sister wants to see this but I'd prefer to see Star Trek. Anyone who has seen both who can say which one is better? I'm probably going to end up seeing both anyway, but I really hope Star Trek is better since I'm more of a Trekkie than a comic book fan.

Star Trek is probably loads better, especially since I haven't heard a single person give the film a negative review at all.

I know X3 is really bad but I enjoyed it at the time because I saw it with my brother and his reactions to things are hilarious

I thought this movie might at least be better than X Men 3 because at least it's focusing on one dude where I remember X-Men 3 had just so many characters in bit parts like wait such-and-such was in the movie? (I don't really know any X-Men characters besides Wolverine actually and black weather lady) but like pretty much every X-person was in the movie even if only for 2 frames I could see where a just Wolverine movie would be ok compared to other x-men movies

the Star Trek movie looked weird like SPEED RACER 2 more than Star Trek but then again I think I only saw it flash on the screen for a second

i genuinely have no idea why people do not think this movie was as bad as i did. i am having a hard time finding anything redeeming about the movie at all. it was a train wreck.

whose idea was it to cast RYAN REYNOLDS in this movie as deadpool too? christ.

story was fucking awful dude man like there is nothing really slavagable about it all the character motivations and relationships are fucked up, cheesy shit, crappy plot devices all over the place.

The story is like some 12 year old fan fiction

this pretty much sums up what the movie felt like to me. it really did feel like bad fanfiction. honestly, there was one good part of the movie and it was the wolverine fighting in every war sequence... but even that fell apart with the horrible writing when they got to vietnam!

the 'wake me when it's over' line was really good though.

i really want to see a superhero movie where the villain wins at the end and kills all of humanity.
