really? because that sounds like practically every bad guy in gaming history

Killer 7 is different from anything and it's excellent. It's not strictly a horror game, though, but alot of it is definitely unsettling and surreal.

I got Killing Floor, it's fun but most games I'm in, we lose at Wave 5, when Flesh Pounders or w/e first start spawning. Am I missing something or are they just ridiculously tough compared to every other monster? Like, wave 1-4 are generally cakewalks as long as everyone sticks together and then half the team gets wiped out by one pounder. They are definitely beatable if EVERYONE just focuses on one when it's alone but there are like 3 or 4 of them at once in wave 7 and I always get rocked.

throw a couple of nades at them and just stay calm and hit them in the head. they take almost no damage from body shots but everyone panics when they arrive. you can solo them with a couple of grenades and a clip of handcannon to the head

not sure if you played Max Payne but I thought that game was disturbing/scary once the plot becomes revealed.

haha you know I recently bought eternal darkness again because i hadn't played it in a long time and I really wanted to do but man it's actually really lame.  it's impossible to take seriously because of how poorly it's written, and uh you know the insanity effects actually aren't that cool.  sometimes they are kind of clever but really it's not that scary of a game.  maybe it just hasn't aged well.

Hmm. I haven't played it in years, haha, so I can't really comment on how it's aged. I still remember sitting up at 3AM with my cousin in a pitch black house playing Eternal Darkness, where you walk into the bathroom and you see your character dead in the bathtub full of blood. Freaked me out.

I found out that if you use the Hunting Shotgun's alternate fire 3-4 times aimed at it's head they die, or you can just snipe them with a crossbow from far!

Dead Space man.

Right here baby.  Workin' on Hard mode.

Dead Space plays out like a movie.  Turn out your lights and put your game face on, and if you liked the action in RE4 you'll dig this for sure.  The atmosphere and the monster models really set the tone for a fright fest through a good majority of it.  The graphics are good but the settings can sometimes seem bland and the puzzles uninspired.  There's a lot of room for improvement.  But the first play through delivers excellent thrills.  You WILL jump in your seat if you're really paying attention to and enjoying the experience.  It's challenging, sorta.  There's difficulty settings anyways, if you're a hardcore gamer I'd try to beat it on Hard straight away.

As far as renting material goes, this is as good as it gets!

I have this game called Rule of Rose for ps2, and I am still on the second chapter after like 2 years because it scares me so badly.
It's got this lord of the flies meets alice in wonderland thing where little girls took over an orphanage and good lord these little girls are scary let me tell you.

Isn't that game just about like...
insinuating rape, except little girl-on-adult woman rape?

(Rule of Rose, that is)

I played the demo of Dead Space and it honestly felt like every space shooter ever except the monsters had heads where their butts should be. Someone explain the hook.
