Basically my PC has a shit-ton of viruses and AVG Anti-Virus Free isn't really finding them! Can someone direct me to (free) good anti-virus software please?

the other 2 free ones that i can think of off the top of my head are Avast and AntiVir.  googe them they're both free and maybe they'll pick them up for you (never tested them as AVG has always worked perfectly fine for me)

how would you know you have a bunch of viruses if your virus scanner can't find them? AVG should be able to find pretty much every virus as long as it's updated.

My computer is just running pretty poorly and I often get stupid pop-ups where I never used to. I cleaned up my C: drive the other day but there are still some problems, so I think it's probably viruses.

maybe you should try using a spyware/adware remover instead of a virus scanner because those don't sound like virus problems to me

It needs to be updated, but is a quick idea of how you can remove it yourself...

Download Malwarebytes.

It does what all those programs do and is much better. Very simple to use too.
