Well FUCKIGN, I am error YESOK

hellol there
Long fucking time

Googling GW-ism brought me back to this place.
For those who don't know me, I am Rave/Shepperd, I used to go to GW since 2003/04.
I left pretty much after the sad event of 2008.
Also because Facebook and university took my life.

But it's 2012 now and even though I hardly think of GW nowadays, there are many things that has impacted me and has remained in my subconscious.

So on one hand I want to say hi to all and see how many people of the older days are still here, what they have been up to lately..

And for topic's sake, let's make it about how so many years of GW has impacted on your life.

For me, Targ, and phrases like asdoaina, bouheauhea, beah beah, fgono, faggit.. they all still kinda stuck with me.
I have good memories of GW humour, the joning, the bizarre characters, like Barkley or Foget..
Stupid prefix and his <3
Diggity Dawg's poem Repoed and targography. (Is Diggity Dawg around?)

I'll keep thinking of more..

So I just came back from Europe (went to England, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy).

Around Christmas I recorded NO TROPHY MEN EP, with the help of my friends Adam and Gareth.

The idea of this album was to play with these guys' retro style of recording.
4 track
analogue
cassette

As you guess then, the whole production is LO FI.
It has noises, blips, and other stuff that are proper from a BEDROOM PUNK recording.

Recorded on 26th of December 2009

Mixed on 27th of December 2009

Produced by Adam Houghton (of Fly Town fame) and Gareth Watts (of Untitle Head fame, also GaZZwa in this forum)

Mastered on 18th of February 2010

A mysterious spiral of light has appeared in northern Norway one day before President Obama arrives to give his Nobel Peace Prize acceptance speech in Oslo. The spiral has baffled experts who do not believe it is related to the Aurora Borealis. Speculation that it is a rocket launched by the Russian Northern Fleet has been denied by Russian authorities. Similarly the Norwegian military has claimed no knolwedge of any rocket launches in the area. There has been speculation that it may be some exotic weapon system, the opening of a space-time portal, or even UFO activity. Obama’s arrival in Norway on December 10 to give his acceptance speech only adds to the mysterious appearance of the lights. Is it a pure coincidence or is it in some way related to Obama’s upcoming speech?

The object appeared on the morning of December 9 and has been photographed and filmed by thousands of Norwegians over a wide area ranging from Finnmark in the country’s north to Trondelang in the south. It is a giant spiral of green-blue light that appears directed towards a mountain. According to observers, a giant light spiral appeared and within seconds covered the entire sky. A green-blue beam of light then shot out from its center. Here is how Totto Eriksen, from Tromso, in northern Norway described it.

Do you like tennis?

Do you play it?
Do you follow Tennis throughout the year?
What about the Grand Slams? Follow them?

How much do you know about Roger Federer? He might as well become the GOAT (greatest of all time).
and Rafael Nadal? Who is almost unbeatable on clay.

The last Grand Slam, the US Open, finished last week.
The winner: Juan Martin Del Potro, a 20 year old argentine who defeated Nadal at the semi finals and Federer at the finals.

Tennis is BY FAR my favourite sport (I follow tennis, football, basquet and rugby).
I love to play it and I follow the ATP circuit.

Alright fellas.

Probably most of you guys noticed that I've been absent for quite a while.
Well, that's because I've been busy hanging around with my man GaZZwa.

That's right, what was eventually going to happen, it finally did.

GAZZ MET SHEP (and the world trembled)

Here's what G wrote:

"Alright fellows! So, in January I took a plane from London and ended up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Some random guy who looked kinda familiar met me at the airport, what was his name again? Oh yes, it was fuckin’ SHEPPERD.

So we partied in Buenos Aires and explored the city and jammed and ate amazing Argentine food (seriously the meat is the greatest thing in the world and the second greatest thing in the world is dulce de leche) and we went white water rafting and trekked up mountains, across glaciers, canoed in huge beautiful lakes, kayaked on the Rio del la Plata (which is so wide you can’t see the other side, the other side being Uruguay), went to Brazil, stepped foot in Chile, took several 20+ hour bus trips, walked across salt flats, went to remote towns in the desert populated by indigenous people who crowded round when we went into the street, spent some time in the jungle, swam in Shep’s pool (dude has a pool!), mountain biked, ziplined across rivers, went under Iguazu falls on a boat, and went reeeeaaally far south which is pretty close to Antarctica, made friends, went camping, went to the fucking carnival, ate the biggest ice creams in the world ever (as big as my arm no joke!), swam in the Rio Uruguay, and had a supersplendid time.

Shep fell over a lot. I got bitten by an insane amount of mosquitos. A month and a half later I was back in the northern hemisphere reminiscing on the great trip I’d taken yet. Mark my words, I shall return to South America soon."

Inhale the emptiness

Salta's salt flats

Into the Iguazu Falls (literally)

There's water on mars guys

Although it wasn't all just traveling and becoming part of the grandeur of the outdoors. We had some massive good fun, got into trouble, busted climbing fences, hitchhiking, sleeping over at grizzly old man's house, G's chin swelling to Jay Leno proportions, getting dumped at 5 am in the middle of nowhere and having to find way back to the hostel, among others...

However, we think that the best way to show our solid good times on the south hemisphere is by posting this amazing video G did:

AND THAT'S NOT ALL!!!!

During Gazz's stay at my place we recorded a TERRIFIC music album.

SPACELANDING - PLAY YOUNG

So this thread proposes you to question yourself how far would you go in a relationship in which each part have different set of beliefs or moral priorities.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE SUPPOSE THIS IS A SERIOUS RELATIONSHIP FOUNDED MOSTLY BY LOVE THAN LUST.

The topic is free to pick any particularities, I'll just write here some examples.

If you're a registered democrat, would you go out with a registered republican in search of a real relationship?

If you're an atheist, would you go out with someone with religious beliefs?
Or maybe you'd go with a buddhist, but not with a christian? Or similar variations.

If you're pro-choice, would you go in a serious date with a pro-life person?

You believe in capitalism, the other is a commie. Would you proceed?

There are many other examples. I just wrote 4.
The point here is how far would you go, or is love truly blind to all these things.

Go

Shepperd presents: his ninth album, LANDLORDS

Front Cover:

Back Cover:

real size pictures of the cover art is included inside the .rar

Tracks: 16
Length: 46 minutes
Genre: Noise Pop/Rock and Art Pop/Rock
Influences: Yo La Tengo, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr, Spacemen, Six Organs Of Admittance.

About the Creation of the Album: I was sort of confused about what I wanted to do for my ninth album, what kind of approach I wanted to create and such. During the process of the creation of this album I made very different kind of songs so wasn't sure how to come out with a cohesive album. In the end I finally decided to leave only the instrumental tracks here (with exception of the last song that works as a final mantra that gives the album a closing). Therefore this album doesn't have all the songs I created this year, and I plan to keep the ones I left for another kind of album which could even be titled LANDLORDS II, and would have a different focus and more sung songs.
In LANDLORDS, I present a set of instrumental tracks that offer different moods and themes such as nostalgia, pride, grandeur, lonelyness, hypnotism, and such.
Some songs are straightfoward Noise Rock/Pop, that impact right on, like "All In All", "Flux State Forever" and "A Next Reality".
There are a couple of songs that are just repetitive but that is its merit as it gets an hypnotic sound that I consider to be very alluring. There are also a couple of noodling tracks which is what I call "playing with silence" a la Moonchild. These might be a bit boring to some people but I think it adds charm to the album.
There are alsomy fair share of rare tracks, like "Life Has You", which is a noise pop song but has such an unique expression it is one of my favourite tracks of the album, or my take on electro-acoustic engineering in "Rain Chambers", or the weird funk of "Early Rounds".

About LANDLORDS: Why such title? LANDLORDS is something I felt when I went to the Patagonia (South Argentina) to do adventure on top of mountains, thru forests and across lakes. It enlightened my perception of reality. It was like a huge take of fresh new air. The philosophy of LANDLORDS is that everyone is LANDLORD on their own. Every person is the owner of the little space on what they are standing, every person belongs to the place where they are standing right now. It is a feeling of being in touch with space. Of course, this is not the conventional meaning of landlord, it even has a derogative connotation. But I don't mind. To me, LANDLORDS means a sense of pride of owning yourself in this place, that like piece of territory from where you're standing, that piece of space and time that NOBODY CAN TAKE AWAY FROM YOU.
