Heck, in March I'll reach 8 years here. And I also still dabble in rpgmaker every once in a while.

Currently on my 2nd playthrough of Aurora Wing. (awesome tactics game for rm2k3)

Re-downloaded Sim95 and REALLY want to make a game because I have been OBSESSED with Fire Emblem games for the last year. Keep hoping that other game Tactics something or other v3 will come out in English soon so I don't have to bother with Sim95 and it's extreme limitations.

Just for the record, I DID get both of those games to work in the editor. I finally realized the editor won't recognize any game that is not in the srpg95 folder (even though it gives you a browse option to search anywhere)

I REALLY feel like making a Fire Emblem fan game now. So, I guess I will. :)

Thank you for the game links.  I hadn't seen either of these before.

Unfortunately it seems both games won't show up in the editor, so I can't study either one. But I played Title Goes Here's 3 maps and I am several maps into the FE Gaiden game and it's pretty good so far. :)

I don't have the French games that came with your version. I have the version that comes with the Fantasy RTP rather than the cutesy RTP that originally came with SRPG95.

Not a long cause so far though, I have seen some things in both games that I figured out on my own without having to see it in the editor. Things I could have figured out on my own but never did. Like how to recruit people and how to use maps for things other than battles. Although SRPG95 is very limited, it's actually possible to do some things if you have the creativity for it.

I've been making a game on Sim Rpg Maker 95 for a while. I've used it before several times over the years. But I've been playing ALOT of Fire emblem lately and it just really made me want to make a similar game.

The problem is, there is NO resources for this stupid program. I have been ALL over google and I can't find crap for it. There aren't even any finished games out there for me to study and find out how to get better at it. (I have Power Dolls, and the FE6 fangame)

So I guess the point of this topic is, does anyone on GW have experience with SRPG95? Do you have resources or know where to get them? Have you done any games I could play and/or study in the editor to learn how to make better games?

I know it's a long shot, I don't think ANY maker has had less support/interest than this one.

You should make it impossible to win, Big T. Fights you are suppose to lose usually make it obvious by having the boss hit for way more than you can take and also having way more HP than anyone could possibly hit for.

If we're counting X-Box Live Indie games, the best game of the year was Sequence. It's a mix of a DDR game and an RPG. The storyline is well written and the gameplay is alot of fun. I don't remember if it was 3 or 5 dollars but either way it's WELL worth it.

His games are so awful that even after putting out several of them, people still play them.

I guess they like being tortured?

Oh maybe, just MAYBE, some people have tastes that are different than your own.

Nah, that's crazy talk. Everyone must like the same thing, otherwise they are wrong.

My bad.

Carry on.

I don't know what country you guys live in, but in America we have the freedom to do whatever we want as long as it doesn't harm another person. Mr. Big T's games don't harm you unless you are dumb enough to PLAY them.

Personally I would never play any of his games, but I'd be damned if I didn't protect his right to make them.

I find it hilarious that Mr. Big T, the maker of such games, types in such an intelligent and eloquent way and yet the people who find his games to be offensive make arguments that sound like illiterate children having a hissy fit.

I voted I don't care. Not because I don't care about rpgmaker in general anymore, cuz I do. But because this project was started so long ago and had so many delays that I just don't have any attachment to it anymore. It's dead. Stop poking it with a stick. :P

For some people, the battles are the best part of playing RPGs. I have over 80 hours on Phantom Brave right now and I am only a little more than half way through it. And the reason I have so many hours is because I do ALOT of extra battling in order to further customize my characters and weapons. The story is kewl too and I COULD rush through the battles just to see it, but I am having more fun just battling.

Food prices are insane. I work at a grocery store so I see it first hand. Just 2 weeks ago the price of a gallon of milk went from $3.09 to $4.09 overnight. And it's stayed there ever since.

I think the point I've seen so far that made the most sense is the one that said if a madman were after me, I'd want someone to save me.

Think about it. If your family and friends were being murdered and YOU were next, would it matter if someone from your own country saved you? Would you be all "Hey! You are not my kind! You should have let you die!" Of course not!

People get so involved in politics that they forget what morals are. Imaginary lines that we call 'borders' don't divide us. We are all human beings. We all need protection. And if we can help each other stay alive then we should do EVERYTHING possible to make that happen. How any of you can look down on people who risk their own lives to save others is so strange to me.

Anyone else in this thread: (intelligent point)

Anyone else in this thread: (another intelligent point)
DietCoke: You're a piece of shit

4 pages of this is kinda annoying. Whether you believe it or not, the U.S. has been for a long time the 'world police' and rightfully so. We don't invade countries and take them over. We help people who can't help themselves when evil dictators and the such are killing innocents.

If I am just waking up, I'll sit. It's just too much work to stand in one place for 20 seconds when I am hardly awake enough to think straight.

btw this whole topic is tmi. :P

Any Hentai would qualify. Especially the ones that actually try to tell a story. Off the top of my head, I'd recommend Strange Love.
