I'm really glad you're enjoying it so far! You can initiate a Dash Attack when RT breaks out into a Super Run (i.e. when you see his feet turn into a cloud of running fury). It's funny that you find the jumping to be stiff because many people around the MegaZeux community were actually praising on how smooth the controls were. Eh...to each his own.

Working with MegaZeux is pretty great! You can make virtually any type of game your heart desires, from platformers to adventure games to RTS's to RPG's. I recorded most of the sound effects myself, as well as the voice characterizations you hear (but they play at a higher frequency than my actual voice so that RT sounds like a kid), but some SFX are ripped as well. If you've played Sonic 2 or Mega Man X, you'll know them when you hear them.

Game posted! It was originally released on August 23rd, but there were a few bugs I had to iron out before posting it here.

Enjoy!: http://www.saltw.net/index.php?topic=83029.0

Why did they split off into two sites? Which one should I post my game on?

Hey all! RyanThunder here.

It's been a few years since I was last signed in to GamingW, so I'm not sure if any of you remember me. Needless to say, things have certainly changed.

I've finally finished my new game and I'll be posting it here in a few days.

Nice to see this community still exists!

Hey all. RyanThunder here.

As of late, things really haven't been going well for me. I've been feeling pretty down/lonely lately because of a multitude of things, and I've also made a few dumb decisions. A lot of the good things in my life also keep going away. I'm not the kind of person who pours out all of his trouble to the internet, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm leaving for a while.

I haven't felt the need to post on here at all, and none of my creative work flourishes on here anyway, but that's not the point. The point is I have to leave for a while to clear my head and to try to get my life straightened out. I just want to be a happy person again.

I will most likely come back when one or two of these instances happen:

1. The launch of GW6.

and/or

2. I finish my MegaZeux game Ryan Thunder.

You might see me signed on to the forums or what not, but I'll only be on here reading topics, if any.

So long, Gaming World.

Nowadays, not that much new stuff appeals to me. I just like to keep up to date on my favorite franchises (Mario, Zelda, Mega Man, classic Sonic, etc.), and once in a while I'll try something new that looks like it'll interest me. I think my library of games is a decent size. I find myself keeping up to date on the video game world in general. Sometimes I'll know so much about a game I've never played and people will think that I've played it.

That's another thing; I never sell or give away any of my games, no matter how bad or good they are. Anyone else do this?

SuperNOVA 2 had a pretty below average song list. Too much slow stuff.

DDRMAX2 is the best mix, hands down.

Nevermind, I got it. Turns it was something that my sound card did after all. I guess it was some kind of corrupt install or something.

In any case, I cleaned it up with a program called RegCleaner and just simply deleted P17RunE.dll. Sound card works fine...everything works great!

Yo guys. RyanThunder here.

Today I've got a problem on my hands. Last night I got a brand new sound card (Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio). After installing the drivers and everything, I went into Device Manager and had Windows check for any updates to the driver (bad move, I know now). Windows seemed to have found something, and began copying over folders, but then a fatal error popped up (can't remember what it said), a blue screen flashed, and my computer restarted. When I log back in, these DLL errors pop-up:

Heading: RunDLL32.exe - Entry Point Not Found
Text: The procedure entry point _except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll.

Heading: RUNDLL
Text: Error loading P17RunE.dll. The specified procedure could not be found.

So, my sound card drivers had been fucked up. I completely uninstalled and reinstalled everything that was related to the sound card. The sound card now works just fine, except now I get these annoying popups on my desktop every time I boot up my computer. I get the feeling that the DLLs the popups specified are just corrupt.

Well, how do I go about fixing something like this?

Hey all. RyanThunder here.

Alright, this is really getting on my nerves. I've tried to avoid it as long as possible. I want to record internally on my PC (with the Stereo Mix option obviously), but the problem is that it records very, very quietly (at least it works though). I've checked the volume sliders on both my sound card's tools and Window's volume toolbar. All volume bars are at efficient level, yet it still records quietly.

I really don't know where to start on a problem like this. Does it have something to do with audio codecs in my Device Manager or something? Help me out!

Thanks in advance!

Oh man, I hope you guys took notice of Geometry Wars: Galaxies. I've played this before, and it was really fun. Now that it has actual PROGRESSION and co-op I bet it'll be addicting as hell.

Not only that, but apparently the DS version of the game links up with the Wii version to unlock bonus content!

This is SO going to be my action-fix for the Wii this Christmas (especially since Soulcalibur Legends has been getting some pretty bad reviews).

Actually you don't need the Zapper to play it.  The Zapper isn't a standalone controller, merely a shell to house the Wii remote and nunchaku so that you have the form of a gun like peripheral to play such games with.  Every game that is compatible with the zapper can just as easily be played with the stand alone Wii remote and nunchaku or Wii remote alone.  I'm getting that Crossbow Training game on Monday so I can see what the zapper is like for myself; otherwise there are some third party peripherals out there I want to try that seem pretty awesome, like the shotgun one I saw featured on IGN not too long ago.

Yea, that makes sense. I heard about that other Wii shotgun-looking peripheral, and Game Informer said it's complete crap, so buy carefully!

Anyone play "Dementium: The Ward" for the DS? Does it play well? Is it a worthy time/money investment?

That Ghost Squad game looks pretty sweet...even if you do need the Wii Zapper for it. Not sure if I'd like the on-rails shooting though.

What do you guys think of it?

I think a sentence of 60 years is just way too brash.

Like it has been pointed out before, we've seen much larger crime committees get much smaller sentences. Personally, I think it would fuck him up even more by making him live in the same cramped space for 60 years. He won't be able to experience all of this world has to offer, nor any of the psychiatric help it can offer him.

By and by, he is a fucked up individual, but he is still human nonetheless. Lower the sentence by at least half and help this screwed up kid.

...well, who's to stop him from saying it anyway?

Hey all! RyanThunder here.

Today I got a complete bullshit story for you guys to read. Apparently, Santa Claus isn't allowed to say "ho, ho, ho" anymore, as it is OFFENSIVE TO WOMEN, GOD FORBID.

Article link: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20071115/wl_asia_afp/lifestyleaustraliachristmasoffbeat

Offensive to women? Santa has been saying "ho, ho, ho" for over a century. Fuck off.

Even if this is only in Austrailia, this still makes me mad. So, what do you guys think?
