yeah... alcohol abuse is rampant in my father's side and i always scoffed at my mom "lol, i'll never become an alcoholic!"

i have a shot of brandy before work, a shot of whiskey for lunch, a glass of wine after work, and two shots of bourbon before bead.

yeah...  my blood is flammable

yikes! what does it take for you to get drunk then?

mmm opposite to whateveryone else is saying, i'm actually LESS shy in real life. i'm outgoing/talkative and pretty much have a good conversation with a stranger every day...

on here though i've only really been posting just lately. i lurked for a long long time cause i felt (and still feel) that there is a bit of a clique here. mainly those who have been posting a million times a day fo the last couple years or people who are always on irc. i still don't get a lot of the inside jokes or know everyone's real name or former gw name or have people on facebook or whatnot. that's not really a reason not to post though i suppose.

i guess i'm just suddenly really shy in unexpected situations... :\

Evangel: thank you! the first two you listed look really awesome. i can't believe i've never heard of them before. phillip glass is really awesome. i'm going to watch these both first chance i get.

Akira eventually.

I've seen Life Aquatic and personally I think it was a bit overrated... It was okay. the best part of the movie was the word "bull dyke"

thanks guys, those are some awesome suggestions.
based on frist impressions and only a song or two:

el guincho has a pretty cool feel. a little repetetive for me, but not bad still.

high places was alright. singing was oaky, but drums were awesome aewsome!!

battles were great. creepy in a good way i think.

dodos were cool too

and that sigur ros song was a bit animal collective-esque. the singing maybe?

i'm going to listen to all of that some more to get a better idea though..

Otherwise I just find myself clicking the same bookmarks over and over even though I had just been to the page.

i do this too. i think i'm too lazy or forgetful to type in new urls, so whatever is in my history gets revisited multiple times a day... for no reason at all. maybe that's why i've been on gw a lot lately lol.

oh at class I always plug and unplug the tap on the rear end of the pen, continuously.

I also love having mantras. This is something I came up with by my own, I mean, apparently it is Hindu and Buddhist thing, but fuck that.
These mantras are very cool and make me feel smart.
The funny thing is that they dont usually have any substantive meaning, or actually are negative phrases that for some weird reason it makes me feel better and proud. Several are stuff I read and for some reason have some romantic significance.
Such mantras include:
"Suckerpunch"
"On his back"
"All things must pass"
"He isbring raped in prison"
"All I wanted was a cheeseburger"
"Plan your escape route"
"Listen for alarms"
"Crown"
"play easy"
etc

these make you feel smart/proud? any significance behind these?

i don't know i'm not aware of them.

a ha.

i trace my fingertips along the contour of things (ie seams of clothing or couch, bricks of a wall, ears) during serious conversations. its pretty weird and often pisses the other person off.

dammit i've been meaning to post in this topic for a few days...

I think I've made some headway. I "rearranged my desk" a couple of days ago. Basically my chair was off to the right side of my desk with my monitor swivelled towards me, so I moved it around so it's like a normal desk with my chair at the center and my monitor facing straight at me. I came in from school and normally just do nothing (I get in at 10:00pm), but I got on my computer and started working on concept art for my game. Usually when I think about working on/watching something I actually think about working on/watching it and inadvertently get myself hyped about doing it and then get put off. But I did a bunch of concept art, because I didn't even think about doing it. get what i'm sayin?

i rearrange my room s lot. i especially did when i was in school. feels like youre working in a new environment and somehow bores me less.

Dunno what's so great about Water Curses tho

yeah, fireworks is pretty good, only thing is that it talks about babies so it kind of creeps me out...

I'm looking for recommendations for 'pretty' movies (if you will) preferably related to the following movies. Bonus if they're creative/werid/artsy.

The Fountain

Mirrormask

2001: A Space Odyssey

What Dreams May Come
(Hm. Couldn't find a decent trailer for this one...)

Did anyone else here like these? All of them are really underrated :(  (well, maybe not 2001)

Also. No, I am not looking for porn.
