This was released in 2003 so I may be late to the party on this one but I just found out about this today and I got it and I'm going to watch it tonight. T-minus: whenever it gets dark. Here's the trailer which is very good:

Tommy Wiseau was also featured in episode 5 of Tim and Eric season 4. When I first saw that episode, I didn't know The Room was a real movie I thought he was just another wackster they found in an audtion and hired him for some sketch they thought up but no! The clips from The Room in that episode are actually from the film. Here's one:

That episode of Tim and Eric was kind of crappy though. Probably the worst one of the last season.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else had seen this? I'm not even sure if it is really worth it yet - I'm thinking it really is going by the clips and the trailer - but I'll post again later when I have watched.
Apparently there are still monthly midnight screenings of this in LA. People go and basically have a party while they're watching the movie, shouting things and laughing and all of that. The man himself, Tommy Wiseau, apparently shows up to many screenings to sell DVDs and T-shirt and does Q&A sessions sometimes.
