Since a husband’s jealousy can be aroused whether or not his wife has actually had sex with another man, what is pertinent here is not the act of extramarital intercourse, but the husband’s feeling of being wronged. So a wife’s lesbian activities, even though not in the parameters of what the Bible defines as adulterous behavior, could nevertheless be considered adultery if it makes the wife’s husband jealous.

Quote
We know that God doesn't like it when we do things halfway. "So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth." (Rev 3:16) So if you're going to shave, shave. If you're going to go natural, go natural. But avoid stubble. It is unsightly, itchy, and uncomfortable for both you and your spouse.

Quote
Are you saving yourself for your wedding night? The Devil wants you to fail, that’s why he puts stumbling blocks in your way. But God wants you to succeed, and that’s why he has given us an alternative to intercourse before marriage: anal sex. Through anal sex, you can satisfy your body’s needs, while you avoid the risk of unwanted pregnancy and still keep yourself pure for marriage.

Is this old news?  I'm really surprised that, as a pastor's son, I haven't heard any of this before.  A lot of this is totally outside the box sexual thinking-- the box that WE create, that is.  If you look at it in a biblical context, you'll see it's totally within the only box that matters-- God's box.

This page has really opened my eyes to new ways for me to enjoy sexuality in Christ.

Thoughts, guys?  Any other Christians here that are seriously impacted by this site?

I remember a few months back some news station reported on a church that said married couples should have more sex.  I thought, wow, the church is doing something good.  Then the entire segment ended up being the reporters saying RAPE IS WRONG.  wtf?

christians pick and choose what they want from the bible, so I don't really see why this would be a big deal unless you make it a big deal for yourself.  If you're going to follow the bible 100%, you'd better give away all of your possessions and start stoning unruly children.  This site interprets the bible one way, while it could be interpreted a thousand other ways.

how are those two conflicting ideas

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

stuff like this just goes to show how stupid and stubborn people are. You got some idiot sitting there and staring at a book dissapointed he can't have sex until wedlock but rather then come to the conclusion that its all bullshit he's going to look for loopholes and ways around it or................behind it

It wasn't what the segment was about.  The anchors seemed to think that if the church supports sex, that men are going to start raping their wives.  Why the fuck would someone come to that conclusion

oh i thought it might be something like if the church did not support sex the husbands, mad with sexual frustration, would stalk the streets in search of some ladies to exert control over

also whats up with a church needing to explicitly say that married couples are allowed to know each other very well in a biblical fashion? that's kind of weird.

Yes.  Yes.

I'm not picking and choosing at all.  A real, logically sound truth is in there if you follow the books in a linear and literal fashion.

None of these are loopholes.

Yes.  Yes.

I'm not picking and choosing at all.  A real, logically sound truth is in there if you follow the books in a linear and literal fashion.
the bible says the world is flat.  the bible says pi equals exactly three.  the bible says unicorns exist/did exist.  the writer of the bible didn't seem to mind that moses had his troops rape captured women.  the bible says you should stone homosexuals.  the bible says that a guy in the sky murdered thousands upon thousands of people while the guy in hell only killed a few, yet the guy in the sky is considered the good one.

I know you don't agree with a lot of those things, and neither do most sane, intelligent people.  You are picking and choosing because you don't go around stoning homosexuals, and you don't believe the world is flat.  And if you do those things, I don't care how righteous your god says it is, you're a piece of shit.

There is a profound truth in nearly every piece of literature ever written.  If you spend enough time analyzing and interpreting, any book can give you really good advice.  But at the same time, there's a lot of shit that has to be waded through.

They didn't have decimals at that time.  And no, it talks about the circle of the earth.

Maybe Unicorns DID exist, or maybe something like a unicorn, sans the magic power.

We're living in a different dispensation, bro.

The law-- that's the old testament commandments-- doesn't apply today.  I am NOT picking and choosing.

This.

I'm glad this has been brought up. Women rarely take account for their actions, and how they affect their partner/spouse. I feel that the site could definitely further expound on this; going out without telling their partner, picking up the kids from soccer practice and not making dinner, talking to other men. These are all acts that should be deemed punishable, both socially and figuratively in relation to the bible.

Rhinoceros!!!

Also lollin' at the new "bible suxx" thread.

btw, I've heard the idea that anal sex doesn't breach virginity or whatever a lot! I've always considered it BS, but whatever. It's a semi-common belief amongst Christians as far as I'm aware! Even though I THINK(correct me if I'm wrong) the bible might say any sex besides missionary position with your wife to have kids is sinful (but this might be one of those things people made up because sex is evil!!)
don't mind me, just postin' after a few brewskies
