Frankly, I don't see how you people can play FPS games at all without the invert mouse setting.

just depends on what you learn on, i suppose

inverting seems like controlling a plane, wheras non-inverting seems like controlling a person's view.

Consoles, I invert the aim and camera, for PC though I leave it normal.

I played Halo on PC, when they do the control tutorial, and when they inverted the mouse, it was just so awkward.  for me at least.

playing without invert mouse to me feels like I'm playing an FPS for the first time ever :)

but yeah there is absolutely no difference between the two. it doesn't impact your ability to play and anyone who says otherwise is just guessing.

Personally I can't play with Inverted, unless it's a space or flight sim, because it just doesn't feel right, I'd rather move my mouse up to hit something flying overhead than move it down.

I can only play console FPS's if the aim is inverted. I don't think it has anything to do with being left handed though (although I am). :hmm:

Is anyone else playing Yakuza 3? I always wanted to try the series, it sounds really cool, but the other versions in English have been on the PS2 which I don't touch anymore. The reviews of Yakuza 3 have been great but I'm curious what other people think.

in the year 20xx, buses come every two seconds.

fuck you, megaman 10.
That level was a bitch!

I've been playing quite a bit of Mega Man 10 and it's really, really great. Overall, it feels ridiculously hard but the difficulty doesn't laugh at you with unfair challenges. The difficult portions in this game really seem to depend on skill rather than luck/timing, which is fantastic.

I'm on the second stage of Wily's castle and WOW... It's a very punishing level, but great fun.

Man, I want it as well but can't afford it now. I'll get it eventually though.

Anyway, I have been playing more FF13 and it really does get a fair bit better the further you play. The battle system is fantastic and easily the best in the series. I really like how you have to manage your paradigms constantly if you want the fastest and best results. Most of the game isn't actually that challenging but you'll be dying a fair amount of times because so many fights work on a trial and error basis. Even the easier fights are fun because you can't just spam attack like in other FF games (well, most of them) and you'll be constantly switching paradigms and picking some certain attacks (auto-battle isn't always the way to go) so that battles won't take too long. Basically you have to be on your toes all the time and it's rewarding to repeat some tough fights, doings things differently than last time and seeing how much better you did. It gets even better when you finally get to choose your own party.

Also, I'm surprised to see how I don't really care about the game being linear anymore. The latter dungeons are larger (and a lot longer) and the game has been a blast from chapter 7 onwards minus the first half of chapter 8. Of course I'd still prefer if the game had more exploration and there was an overworld and towns but it's not so bad. With a better beginning and more freedom FF13 would be a really fucking good game but given that the game is pretty lengthy and the beginning crap lasted for maybe 2-3 hours, it's not such a big deal I suppose. Still, it has gone from average to pretty good to great so hopefully that keeps up. I can't say it's a fantastic game by any means but at least it's better than FF9 and 10, I still prefer FF12 though. It's a shame that the game has some big flaws because it really could have been so much better.

I'm not that fussed about the linearity at all either, but I've found that after chapter 7 the game has been on a steady decline. 7 & 8 were fantastic imo, 9 was... eh. Not too bad overall but the big plot reveal was a little hammy (don't even get me started on chapter 10's...)! Then chapter 10 comes along and holy shit it's just terrible, it's like HUGE PLOT DUNGEONS WITH COOL DESIGNS... and then they stick you in this generic shitty factory and I don't know, I'm hoping chapter 11 is way better because atm I am bored to tears. I'm really liking the battle system tho, like you said definitely one of the best in the series!

Yeah, I just started playing chapter 10 and this is pretty dull dungeon plus I hate the enemies. :( I really liked chapter 9 though, it was a bit too long though.

11 is the best chapter lol you get side missions lol and a big area to explore.  I've been taking a brake from FF13 but i'm still grinding on that chapter. lol. but Ive been playing Yakuza 3 and it's ok i need to play more to give you better option I only got 1 con so far is the mission on some of the quest are so veg. Like right now I'm doing a story quest part of it to progress the game and I need to go out of town all it say for me to do is go down town and he will find what he needs... well i walked around town for about 1 hour and found nothing to progress the story any more so now im looking at a FAQ to find out where the hell i need to go.

BTW just found out i need to go inside my houses/orphanage.... how dose downtown  have to do anything with the orphanage.

I've been playing a game called star ocean: the last hope. its a pretty good game with a decent story for a space based jrpg, but the voice acting always throws me off. idk for some reason i just feel like its really poorly dubbed maybe im just not into the genre as much anymore but hmmm..
Put some sand in my roommate's sheets today... :gwa:
