I opted for fully modified revolver in those "lets fight off an army" sections. The second one went by so much faster with explosive .357 rounds going off like machine gun fire than it did with the sniping attempt I tried the first time.

I was disappointed about Montreal being limited to the one area you had to go for the mission. I was expecting it to be the third hub area. But, in the time of HD gaming, the better something looks, the less of it there is going to be to look at.

I had the same though about the UI. I was looking forward to seeing another countries representation. Then I figured maybe the computers all come from a central corporation so they'd all be the same, or maybe what we as the player sees is just the visual representation from Jensen's hacking augmentations, which would cause the universal appearance to make perfect sense.

ARGH

13 straight minutes of avoiding police (I needed to pass 12 roadblocks in order to get a milestone to progress) I ALMOST get away, I'm literally in 'cooldown' mode and the police helicopter spawns directly above me. shortly after, I am busted.

NFS: Most Wanted is the most punishing racing game I've ever played. Unfortunately... a lot of the difficulty that REALLY takes you out ends up being largely random. As I understand it. It'll take me about another hour or 2 just getting this one milestone. (there are others I can try, but they are even harder)

Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time. I've had this for a while, I bought it while I was playing through Tools of Destruction because ToD was a really solid game, but I never got around to playing it until now. Really fun, like ToD but better in every way. This series is really solid and everyone who has a PS3 should play them.

Probably.

I rented Dead Island from a redbox at lunch so I'm gonna give that a shot after work today. I heard it's really buggy and kind of boring so I'll play it a couple days and save 50 bucks instead of buying it.

I just beat Mother 3 and I have to say that was easily one of the best JRPG experiences I've ever had.

Dada, can you use stickybombs any good yet? I got a strange stickybomb, but any time I play Demo I go full Demoknight and never use it. I think I've gotten pretty good at it, but I think it's just that the sword I'm always using being really overpowered. (Free health from weapon drops, plus double recharge rate? I don't think I can take credit for skill when it comes that easily.)

That's the Persian Persuader, and I use that one too! I don't use stickybombs, I equip the Charging Targe, Persian Persuader and the regular grenade launcher. The Persian Persuader turns ammo into health and recharges your charge 100% faster, so it turns you into a powerhouse at the cost of running out of ammo eventually (only the resupply locker can give you new grenades). It's still hard though, I'm not that good at it yet. Also if your aim is just slightly off, the grenade will miss and be useless since unlike the rocket launcher it doesn't explode upon hitting the ground or wall.

I'm not bad with stickybombs though, it's just that I can't seem to use it with this setup.

Most of my game time is still as Engineer. Especially since I got the wrangler.

Also I have zero TF2 friends so maybe I should add you. What's your account name? Mine is michiel0031 or if that doesn't work dada78641 (account name, in-game nickname).

Just beat Ocarina of Time for the first time after owning it for like 10 years. It was pretty good. It hasn't aged well and parts of it really piss me off,  but you know... classic.

are you playing the first game? it's a little dull and the next two are a lot better, but unfortunately if you want to have any clue what's going on in the second you need to have played the first...

I was going to ask the same thing, are you playing 1? I've seen 2 and the settings is really intriguing to me and the game is only 20 bucks now, but I don't want to buy another game I'll never end up playing.

I started playing Twilight Princess (GC version on the Wii) and I like it. Feels good and Zelda-y. Although now I see that the Wii controls would be garbage.
