The abrupt locking out of almost the entire forum staff is pretty confusing. I mean, I thought that the whole issue was about redesigning the main page? I'm really not trying to be a negative nancy with this post, but why wasn't a new forum made specifically for discussing the redesign while leaving administrators and moderators in place?

I know, Drule, you said to me in a PM that we're not allowed to know anything that's going on because we're not site staff, but I'm still confused as to how this affects moderators.

What's going to happen with the forum moderation anyhow? Are we just "temporarily relieved" until you guys (the administrators?) discuss whatever it is that you need to?

It truly is confusing and I'm not trying to stir up negative emotions or anything of the sort, I'm merely curious because I mean.. There's pretty much no information out there on what's going on. I think that all we're really aware of is that GW's main page is becoming a blog and that the forums have been minimalized a little more.

I just don't really understand, because in the past whenever something like this happened, an administrator would actually make a post and detail what was going on, but this time around the administration is basically saying... "Don't ask any questions. We're doing work and that's all you're allowed to know."

Again, I'm not[/i] trying to incite anything (I feel like I need to keep stressing this after the PMs). I'm just curious. It's good to let the community be informed about developments rather than leaving them in the dark.

If we ARE going to be informed ahead of time, do you have an ETA?

hahah the main page makes me crack up. I'm using the latest firefox on 1680 x 1050 resolution and it looks like shit. All the red blocks are out of line and the background image looks like crap. Is this a joke or something?
