To someone who hasn't seen the movie, can you explain what "the dream" actually is? And why would they become depressed after realizing it can't come true - have they never seen a movie before? I don't feel like reading a plot synopsis, so any time taken out to do this for me is appreciated.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

Yeah, Steel ballooned up after beginning his Cancer treatment and didn't have a buzz cut prior to that(his hair was longer but probably not as curly as the Dr.'s) Look at some of his Youtube "Cooking with Doop" videos for a more accurate depiction of Steel, since I think it's just the time frame and nature of the pictures that makes them somewhat resemble each other.

no i thought that picture was from 2008 right before he started chemo. i remember he shaved his head because he didn't want to see his hair fall out (but he left the beard for the picture because it looked silly).

wait no just went back. page 24 of the cancer topic, he posted some pictures after his first week of chemo. the one picture i posted was the last one though, taken a few days after chemo. he's not nearly as swollen in that pic as in the others. he didn't start looking too "cancer patient" until like his 3rd round of chemo (because he was a tough mofo) so i think that picture i posted is a decent one of him, though certainly it's not like cooking with doop or jelly pizza or any other pics/videos like that.

EDIT: anyways i still think that there's a striking resemblance between the two. they have similar features. i wish i had better pictures of both of them... but yeah when i saw the Avatar movie i definitely thought "woah, that guy looks like Steel". (though as other characters or as himself, the actor (Dileep Rao) looks pretty different.) but yeah, Dr. Max Patel totally looks like Steel.
