man today has been a weird day for...idk how to explain it taking things i thought were confirmed to not happen and making them happen

trilobyte is back.  the company that made the 7th guest and has been dead for years.  they're MAKING A COMEBACK.  they're porting 7th guest and 11th hour to the iphone/ipad.  not only that but they want to do the same with other FMV games (ones other people made that is).  they firmly believe that FMV games have a future again, in the form of handheld devices.  FMV games making a comeback, me of all people would be so dang excited about the fact that someone in the business even believes this.  i love trilobyte and they EXIST AGAIN it is so weird it's like a smaller scale version of if sega came out and said they were making a new console

and i just now found out that battle royale (both one and two and apparently even the 3D version of one) are officially being released in the US, even though for years toei refused to sell anyone in the US the rights to it.  aaaa what a weird day what's next a new 3do??? you might as well tell me this is true because i'll believe anything today

edit: jesus i was 8 years old when trilobyte officially shut down.  they've said that right now they're focusing on rereleasing old games but they didn't at all rule out the possibility of a new 7th guest game.  they more or less said "we're trying to reconnect with our original fanbase first" which sounds like "we gotta get people back into the 7th guest so we can make a new one" to me.  they tried making a third 7th guest game like 3 times (three different ideass) while they were being bought and sold by different companies before ultimately shutting down.  it is amazing to know that they are still working towards this.  can you imagine not getting a chance to make a game then coming back over 10 years later and going "WE STILL FEEL PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS LET'S DO IT"

Mother 3 Nukem Forever

I hate Rare now because they were planning to do Killer Instinct 3 but apparently they personally hate KI 1+2 and it's their least favorite thing they've done so obviously Rare is completely out of touch with which of their IPs are any good. tbh that's somewhere I'd say Japan does a better job like I believe guys from Street Fighter II are real dudes a lot more than Killer Instinct not like realistic but Killer Instinct feels a lot more like "let's see what do dem kids like in their fightig game??? Like a ninja a werewolf an alien a clown??? no forget the last one" Perfect Dark wasn't very good either like it just felt like PREMISE for the game we have to make up someone who is sort of a secret agent James Bond but sort of isn't  TJ Combo was probably really offensive

internet always weirds me out with all these casual flash games because the artwork and stuff they seem like equally valid game characters and stuff but maybe not?? less thought put into it or is it just that this stuff was so SINGULAR before?? choosing between a handful of platformer games that are like $60 each seem interesting at a glance when it's not just super-prevalent/available at any time like internet - names random game would Clayfighter really seem that interesting on a website with 500 other games

Edit: lol Killer Instinct the period immediately following Mortal Kombat was really fucking weird there are still awful games but now things feel all smoothed out I forget something like Resident Evil 4/5 is a violent game because it doesn't call attention to itself. like I really need to try some of those games that came out because of the precedent Mortal Kombat set or just ripping them off like BONESTORM etc. like all these games that were directly about being as violent and awful as possible I think Mortal Kombat designers were just trolls of the 90's videogaming world and wanted to see how far other people would go like this is a normal healthy game idea to think up right? right???

I never played Bad Fur Day because I used to have the GB Conker and it sucked. Then later in life I found out the intro is an exact homage to the intro of A Clockwork Orange (without question my favorite movie scene of all time I cannot stress enough how much I love this scene) and I've wanted to play it ever since. Didn't they rerelease it for the 360?

it took 11 years for EarthBound fans to finally get Mother 3. now that i know a miracle like that could happen, i will never again be surprised by late sequels being announced. (and i will never lose hope for a Mother 4, though Shigesato Itoi has said it won't happen...)
also, i think i'll have to add Conker's Bad Fur Day to the top of my "Games i have to play" list. my brother, who is 11 years older than me, bought it when i was around 7 years old, and i always wondered what it was-- he only ever let me play the multi-player game on it (which was amazing). so now, realizing that i haven't played the story mode of a great game, i will pursue it!

yeah there have been quite a few games delayed this long but the thing that's so weird about the 7th guest is that idk it has far less of a following or a presence.  everyone knows earthbound and everyone knows duke nukem to some extent but the fact that the 7th guest is rising from the grave is just A MIRACLE.  i'm not saying it's totally unknown by any means but it's more like conker than earthbound/duke nukem when it comes to established fanbases, even moreso when you count people who are still waiting.  everyone was still waiting for duke nukem forever but not many people were holding their breath for the 7th guest 3 (i wouldn't be at all if there hadn't been a very promising fangame in the works, actually i wonder if anything ever came of that! it always looked dead but they'd pop up with an update just when you were ready to give up on them)

Pissed off some how all my save files on my flash card got Deleted every single save even my rune factory 3 save..... 

Well now I need to do it all over once more. might need a cheat to make this a bit more tolerable I hate repeating things.

Found out that they where still there but some how the save files extensions got changed and my whole system option save file fed up lol but Thank god Akaio I didn't need to redo all of that

Cibo Matto's cover of Black Hole Sun just came up on my iPod. I had forgotten about it but man what a weird cover. I can't even tell what language it's in. Is it even in a language? I'd like to think it's done in fake French but maybe I'm just hopeful.
