Britain sucks when it comes to Halloween. Nobody bothers to buy candy for the kids who come knocking, and barely any kids even bother to trick or treat as a result... I've never gone trick or treating or even know anyone who has. The only real Halloween experience we get is the occasional Halloween themed party somebody might throw where all the women come dressed as a cat with stupid Naruto whiskers and all the guys dress up as a vampire with a cheap cape and some crappy fangs.

Seriously, if you let your kids go trick or treating in the UK they will be raped and murdered. I feel bad knocking on the front doors of any of the houses in my road and I'm 22! If you had any care for the safety of your kids you'd make em stay in.

The fun is at halloween parties. I am going to one on Saturday followed by some drinking in town if we are drunk enough to forget its expensive

my parents haven't given out candy since we moved to our current house

when i was a kid i lived in a little suburb type area and so there were plenty of kids and it was worth doing but now we live on a farm on a back road and even if the kids in that area went door to door on that road (they don't they go to that same neighborhood i grew up in since it's not too far and safer to walk on) wouldn't bother going down our long-ass driveway so there is no reason i guess

we're putting on a pretty sweet halloween party thing but its for the kids around the neighborhood. We're going to have games and shit, and we have a bunch of SPOOOOKY decorations. We have a huge garden in front of our place and we have seriously 30 pumpkins, most of which will get carved (we're also going to end up planting hella pumpkin seeds for next year). It's pretty cool, I can't wait. I might be getting some special brownies for it too. I'm totally not going out or dressing up tho.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.
