making crystalis with better graphics is no worse than most rpg makers except it's a 10x more interesting concept

iirc the sword of shannara is kinda the same thing and that's probably the worst book. it's not a new idea and I personally don't think it's a particularly interesting one. I also think it's a pretty bad idea to entirely BUILD A GAME around a single concept like this. if you do, that game is only ever gonna be as good as that concept; that is the best thing your game is gonna have to offer. and that concept seems even more flimsy when you take into consideration GAME THINGS like what actually makes a game fun or worth playing, which is something that completely baffles like 99% of all indie game makers but they go ahead with their plans anyway and it's a mess. so yeah, I wouldn't bother unless you're confident the game would be worth playing at least for a little while even without this setting you've come up with
