I completely agree with Maxximum, this is a finished game that needs some polishing. Your custom title says your a "Experienced Java and Rpgmaker programmer" if you are then why can't you just fix the slow scrolling text and movement speed? Even if it is a lot of work and takes a long time it will be worth it, think of it this way since you have taken the trouble of making a game you might as well look into these things and improve it.
Because then I need to adjust all the texts in the game I believe there are more than 10.000 of them that implies a month work. Besides of that a lot sometimes those texts are synchronized with the events in the game.
I don't know if you are talking about the intro or in the real game, but in the real game the texts are made on average reading speed, and you can press them away when the text is finished. I don't think that, that is such a big deal. Yeah ok maybe a very fast reader needs to wait a half second so what? I also think that the texts in my game are not much slower than other than most other rpg games on console's.
The intro text however, is a lot slower, but this is because you need to keep in mind that there are also slow readers that play in my game. The intro is fully automatic, therefore slow readers ( often non English people ) need enough time to read, so that they understand the story as well.
These texts are made with everyone in mind, I think this is the right way to please the most of the people. If you don't agree with that I'm sorry, but these things were planned from day 1 and are not going to be changed.
Of course I'm still open for other suggestions.
