So, which boss fight burned itself to your brain?
Mine would have to be Queen Gohma in the Deku Tree dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. I just loved the introduction when she spots me with her big eye and crawls her way up the walls into the darkness. Great design.

well back in the day when I was still young and worked installing sheetrock for a stretch of time under the table I was refused a pay stub by a former employer. When I queried him about not getting my cash money he told me, "I'm not paying you shit you peach fuzzed-face little fucker" so I suplexed him through a wall and railgunned one of his hands into a steel truss.

needless to say the snake bastard mailed me my earnings the next day and remembers me everytime he signs a check with that stigmata scarred hand.

The first fight in Shadow of the Colossus.  You don't really know what to expect in that game until that moment, even if you have an idea about the game you aren't sure how it's going to pan out but then IT HAPPENS and it's just mindblowing.  You're running away from that thing as quick as possible and all you're thinking is "OH FUCK IT'S SO HUGE HOW CAN I FIGHT THIS"

Beating it is just as memorable as when you first see it too.

The whole Ultimate Being final boss fight in Parasite Eve. Squeenix never fails to make their final battles epic. As the boss grows, the music gets intense. Kinda like it started on a slow choir thingy 'cuz you're just dealin' on its initial form.

The music is a goddamn best giveaway.

Shadow of the Colossus
ALL OF THEM
Most memorable would've been the flying on in the water, where it came swooping at me and in a split second i figured out how to get on it.
But yeah, They were the most memorable.

See this shows why SotC is so good.  All of the boss fights were fantastic, and it was nothing but boss fights, therefore the game is perfect.

Lavos. I think it was the music that really made that fight memorable for me.

Man, I just beat (well, installed AND beat) Modern Warfare 2 last night, and I think I'm going to remember the final boss from that for a long time.

Such a cool scene.

for real, SotC is the best game ever made.

even though the camera mostly sucked (until you learn how to make it work ok), and the controls are horrible (again, until you learn to work with them), and there is nothing to do but kill 16 bosses, it's still the best game ever. My brother and I have beaten it every way possible. We've max health and grip, beat everything on normal and hard, and all the normal and hard time trials. we've decimated that game. it's the best.
yes coulombs are "germaine", did you learn that word at talk like a dick school?

SotC really IS amazing. And I semi-decimated that game. I finished it on normal then did the normal time attacks... then I accidentally wrote over my save with a hard save file and I've done half of the hard time attacks.

But I don't wanna say Shadow of the Colossus again, so I'm going to say The End from MGS3 because it felt like such a radical pace change from most bosses.
It felt like a true test of how well you can stay hidden and yet be able to detect an enemy and attack

Izanami-No-Okami for me, for the fact that she's a Goddess, and your party is just a bunch of high school students from a village in Japan. plus the scenes at the end of the second part, especially the Persona summoning, just made it memorable. Also the music for both parts of the battle is just awesome, and fits in so well.

Demon Gate from FF7.

This guy caught me totally off guard and I was severely ill-equipped and under-leveled for a boss fight at this stage in the game.  It was one of the most epic boss fights I've ever had, and after roughly 1 hour and my phoenix downs almost completely depleted I sent the bastard back to hell where he belongs.  People in my house actually crowded around to watch the fight and cheered when I vanquished him.  :D

Yeah. I second Demon Gate. Totally crushed me, was probably the first boss that gave me a gameover.
