i liked to get drunk and play this game sometimes. i sold it all because it was bad for me but i liked to wander around and look at the desolation when i was up at 5am drunk and eating someone else's pasta from the fridge.

how big is this game exactly

like I hear of huge games like Morrowind, is there any way I can see without playing it. Like a time-lapse youtube video where somebody goes from one end of the world to the other

Edit: like a literal "walkthrough" of the game lolol

The Wasteland isn't actually all that huge, at least it feels smaller than Oblivion/Morrowind because there's a lot less variation in terrain and feel, but it's still huge in the sense that there is a shit load of stuff to explore and discover, and getting around without fast travel definitely takes awhile. I bet you could cross the map in like 15 minutes tho if you could just walk straight without hitting anything.

This. I made my character Obama and I'd hang out with two of my friends and we'd just hang out, take turns playing, and drink beer.

I am not getting a DLC just to keep my dog alive. I'm really anxious about taking him to minefield though. Man, I just wanna thank you guys for helping me realise how fun this game is. Last time, I played it in third person and was a black man. This time I am a white man in first person, so it's a lot more realistic. I can relate to that a bit more.

that's the DLC that pretty much completes the game though, so i totaaaaally advise getting it if you finish the main quest and enjoyed it

It lets you continue the game after you finish, too, so it's definetly worth it.

Well, i thought I'd find exploration a little bit easier in third person. I quite like the third person so I guess that struck a chord with me! And I went through this phase of "If I have to be a nerdy white kid in my work time why would I do that in my leisure time as well?" so I made black characters in every single game I had. But this time I've tried the first person for IMMERSION purposes and am white because maybe I can relate to myself a little bit more. MY LIFE IS A WHITE MAN IN FIRST PERSON AND NOW IS FALLOUT 3, THE LINES BETWEEN FICTION AND REALITY HAVE BLURRED.

The Broken Steel add-on is fucking annoying by the way, its so glitchy. I couldn't load and every time I died I had to turn my console off to re-load my save. I think turning the radio off helps.

Yeah but that would never happen, you'd get distracted pretty easily.

I might go to Rivet City and see how long it takes to walk the distance to the opposite corner.

It's sad, I love the radio but I have the PC version and it actually causes 50% of my crashes. It's so sad playing it in silence but it's either that or crashing every time the song changes :/.

or you could just listen to regular music on your computer.  that is what i do in 99% of the games that i play anyways because video game soundtracks are boring

I just downloaded the Galaxy Radio soundtrack and listen to that in the background, mainly because I hate the out of signal quietness of the radio at the beginning of the game. Though I do end up missing out on the other radio things.

Yeah, the music is cool but I like the whole RADIO EXPERIENCE even if 3dog's stuff is pretty repetetive. Alas!
