yeah, that's kinda my stumbling point with pc games because i don't really give a shit about most strategy games and that's what a lot of the pc-specific games end up being because a controller is completely unintuitive for a strategy game. they otherwise port fucking everything. the only one i've ever liked was activision's
call to power ripoff of civilization, which i actually liked a lot more than the sid meier civilization games.
if you have any fondness for rpgs at all,
anachronox would be a good bet if you haven't played it. it's really the only console-style rpg that doesn't make you feel totally fucking stupid for playing it.
and i know you said NO FPS, and i don't blame you, but play
system shock 2 if you haven't already played it. i don't think there's ever been a better made videogame.
yeah i don't really know what else to suggest. i might get hell for this, but i don't really think there are a lot of truly outstanding pc-specific games. usually if it was JUST for pc there was something fucking wrong with it in the first place that made it unworthy of a port.
