in my all years of being allowed into a strip club, I've never considered it once.

I don't really care about the other guys, I just want to see some titties!!!!

on a serious note:

one of my roommates in college brought a stripper home one night. he is in the bro hall of fame 4life.

the only time i've ever seriously considered going to a strip club was one time me and my friends were dragged along on some guy's birthday who we really didn't like and we all thought it would be a better idea to go to a strip club for that night instead of going to his dumb party.  We really should have because it turns out the guy had the lamest party possible going on.

this is only a positive experience for you maximo you shouldn't feel bad. imagine if you were actually turned on

also I sorta just realized how well strip clubs fit into capitalism/consumerism. purchasing sexuality as a commodity that's not dehumanizing, it's just stupid, fun entertainment!! come on, live a little

make friends quick: buy them a beer!

ugh strip clubs

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

I've never been and definitely don't plan on it. I think in hindsight, of course the OP didn't EXPECT to have any deep emotional connection or anything obviously. I think he himself was just surprised at the utter lack of appeal he found in strip clubs, which society apparently has made all men believe is the greatest place to be on earth.

My friends took me to a strip club a while back, after they got me drunk at the concert beforehand.  They paid for the girl to give me a "private show", Which amounted to nothing more than the girl taking me to a secluded corner of the club and her taking of my hoodie, than dancing like normal.

It was the most awkward thing I ever experienced honestly.

strip clubs are seriously gay and the OP made me really uneasy. like when someone says they LOVE milla kunis, but you can see that it's really tearing him up that they're not together

yeah i've never been because it seems like it would be really depressing.

This. A thousand times this. It can't be a positive experience for anyone involved.

Strip clubs are awesome if you go to the really seedy ones and like dietcoke said about the casinos watch them strange ass motherfuckers. And if you go with friends its even funner (never go to a strip club alone, only the creepy old dudes do that).

Last time I went to a strip club some crazy ass old black dude told me I was a prophet or some crazy shit, those people are pretty weird.

Often the clientele is more depressing than the single mothers dancing there.  Many of the guys there seem really down in the dumps.  Rough construction workers, blue collar types who have lost all hope in their wives or given up on meeting women altogether.  Old or creepy guys who have pretty much no chance to see a girl like that anywhere else.  Drop enough cash on the table and your fantasy of a young beautiful girl who is genuinely interested in you falls literally right in your lap.  It's so thinly veiled, you'd have to be drunk, desperate, or incredibly gullible to fall for it.

I understand there are people that go there for once in a while for a quick thrill, but the regulars can be really pathetic.  When people repeatedly ask me to go to the strip club with them, I tell them I'd much rather go out to a normal bar/club because I can at least have a halfway genuine or meaningful conversation with a female.

Did you eat anything?
The only thing I know about strip clubs is that you should never eat anything from one.

My own odd/scary experience.
I'm not sure if what I went to on my 18th birthday was a stripclub but me and a friend found ourselves downstairs in a little room with a man at a desk beside a curtain who asked us if we wanted to see one of the ladies they had their... We got excited and didn't hesitate to nod at the guy who then told us to wait at the tiny lounge area they had in the corner of this small room. Hot girl comes out in a very sexy outfit and sits down besides us, she says "would you guys like to buy me a drink?" and without thinking we said yes. The guy at the desk brought over a tiny glass of champagne for the girl and left a small receipt on the miniature table in front of us. We spent about 45secs talking to the girl before looking at the receipt, only to see we apparently owed them over £70.00 for the champagne and her company.

Well between the two of us we had maybe £25.00 and the fear in both of our eyes as we noticed a bouncer who appeared from behind the curtain was astounding. We tried to explain we only had £25.00 and I swear the guy at the desk made the most horrifying expression ever, almost like we had just told him we killed his mother. He started to yell and took the £25.00 from us, he said we best leave right now before he calls the police or even worse take us out back. We didn't want to think about what might be waiting for us outback so we left - in a hurry!!!

I make it a point to stay away from shady little places like that now especially if theres a woman at the entrance trying to invite you in telling you about the beautiful women she has waiting for you downstairs.

Lesson learned.

when i was in Canada my cousin took me to a strip club one night and it was pretty boring but also sad. maybe it was just a bad night or maybe just a bad strip club but the girls we saw weren't enthusiastic at all (but i don't know how you could be) and besides us there was one other guy who looked downright depressed. after the 2 girls i told my cousin i wasn't having much fun and we left.

I've been to a strip club only once in my life, very recently actually. In fact it was just about a month and a half ago. We all went just for kicks, well actually once I told my friends that I havent been to a strip club, they paid for me to go with them. I was pretty boozed up before I got in there and the bouncer almost kicked us out right off the bat cus of a friend just trying to walk in without paying (there was a cover). The girls were ofcourse good looking but I did get that feeling of uneasiness (EVEN WHEN DRUNK! lol) where I felt like I'm in the wrong place. It was like I was crossing some sort of boundary in my own moral beliefs or whatever. That ofcourse changed after my 2nd lap dance. The booze kicked in moreso than I anticipated and I was just going with the music and the scene. Once we left I was able to cross off the strip club from my "to do before I die" list (its a mental thing, there isnt a physical list that exists).
