and you can find out about it here:

http://www.limmy.com/

if you're in the UK, or have a trick to make it seem like you are, watch it here:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00hv3n0

otherwise, there are torrents and you can find little bits on youtube all over the place. here is one:

the whole show is pretty good but it isn't one of the best comedies in the world. it is just pretty good alot of the time. it is better than anything else that is on right now in the UK and USA apart from tim and and eric awesome show great job. there is better stuff on the internet but if you are looking for a tv comedy to watch, here is one.

if you are in america or elsewhere you should probably get a torrent because i think they are going around. the pilot of the show is easy to find on youtube, though.

you'll get the accent after a while.

i really like the first sketch i posted though. that is the kind of thing i liked limmy for and it's not constant in limmy's show but you'll get it every now and then. the terror. the mundane.

then sometimes it's too mundane and he comes off as daft and that is when it goes wrong but it's better than any crap on this second so get it and let's talk about it.

haha, cool. i know he gets some of the music on the show from royalty free sites. is the music by an unsigned person? what is the deal?

not at all. it's jean michel jarre, who i guess is a fairly well-known artist even if he's not quite a household name. a lot of people seem to regard him as one of the pioneers of electronic music. i actually know him more as the son of maurice jarre, who did the music for movies like dr. zhivago and lawrence of arabia, but jean is pretty good in his own right i think.

the music is from an album he did in the late 70s called oxygene, which was kinda his big break, and a very popular album at the time. it's pretty surprising he chose to use this, since he probably had to pay a bit for the rights rather than just dropping pocket change for some royalty-free music. it's imho an rather good album if you have any taste for very early synthesizer music.

the first musical passage is from the song oxygene 4 and the rest is oxygene 1. i could hook you up if you wanted it for some reason

I started watching his show now, it's pretty good. I prefer his random youtubes a bit because I don't llike the format that every sketch show ever uses but he plays around with it a bit anyway. Like you say there are sometimes pretty long sketches that aren't really funny but I get the impression that HE finds them funny at least rather than just wanting to pad it out with filler sketches so that's okay

I could only get the pilot and episode 3. it's mostly ok with some good sketches mixed in, and it seems like a lot of the sketches could be better if they were just refined a little bit more. I was kind of disappointed in 3 when I saw he was doing a lot of the same characters again like the kinder ei guy. I'd like to see the others sometime but I can't find them anywhere, and I couldn't get the proxy to work on the bbc streaming video site.

A friend showed me Limmy's Show a couple of weeks ago. It's brilliant. I particularly like the first Scot to meet a Roman.

limmy's show is extraordinarily hit or miss. the bad parts are just not very funny or particularly well thought out, and then the good bits are really outstanding. his stuff can be fairly intelligent without being gimmicky or anything like that. there are not many comedians nowadays that i would ever call INTELLIGENT, or anything even remotely close to it, so this is a pretty big accomplishment.

it's so hit and miss it's crazy. he's grumpy as hell,  too.

the last episode was on tonight by the way, so that's the series finished. he doesn't know if there is going to be a second. it was an okay episode, there were a few good bits but a couple bad ones, too.

I thought the last ep wasn't very good. Or way more miss than hit than the others anyway. btw is there another topic where people were talking about this because I swear I was in a gamingw limmy's show thread just before this one with all different posts. Hundley said RIP benny harvey.

i sat down and watched a major chunk of clips from limmy's show last night. it's really strange. there's so much that isn't exactly FUNNY, but is still pretty fun and entertaining nonetheless.
