not at all. it's
jean michel jarre, who i guess is a fairly well-known artist even if he's not quite a household name. a lot of people seem to regard him as one of the pioneers of electronic music. i actually know him more as the son of
maurice jarre, who did the music for movies like dr. zhivago and lawrence of arabia, but jean is pretty good in his own right i think.
the music is from an album he did in the late 70s called oxygene, which was kinda his big break, and a very popular album at the time. it's pretty surprising he chose to use this, since he probably had to pay a bit for the rights rather than just dropping pocket change for some royalty-free music. it's imho an rather good album if you have any taste for very early synthesizer music.
