So i've been shopping around for a reasonably priced and capable mp3/4 player with significant storage space. my samsung omnia has 8gb and it plays pretty well but eats up the battery like crazy rendering my phone useless not long later.

so I search on ebay.


and buy this. I paid $35 for it.

I don't expect anything spectacular, if it works then awesome, I didn't have to spend 180 for something id have to pay even more for to utilize its featuers, (ipod touch + downloadables)

has anyone ever tried one of these cheap knock offs before. I do know one thing I will like more, no itunes. hate itunes. if you got bad id3 tags then your music is all sorts of lost and shit.

One thing I wonder is if this is what poor people in china buy as well? or is everybody rockin Ipods over there while they send us they're cheap impersonations?

I have a knockoff Ipod type thing, and it's really terrible, the interface is terrible, as is the sound quality. But from what I've seen they vary a lot in terms of, well, everything. It seems to generally be a guessing game, you've just gotta hope the one you get isn't terrible.

chinese knockoffs are the shit. you should check out chinavasion.com they have sick mp3/4 players for way cheap. I just got a bluetooth watch off there for like 30 dollars less than american brands. btw my friend used to have that exact same device. it was pretty fucking cool for the price. he broke it a couple days later by walking into a picnic table(he smokes a lot of weed) but while he had it it was pretty cool

Hey, once you get it, can you post a review of it or something like that?  I would be really curious about what you think of it and what not, because I'm in the market for a decent mp3 player, and that is a decent price and a decent amount of storage as well for something that doesn't seem to half bad looking in functionality.  I'm interested in your thoughts at the very least, and want something that isn't like the usual iPod or Zune.

no i haven't. its got about 3 more days that the ebay post told me to allow. i will post a review of it though when i get it.

i don't like these Chinese products.they are just bullshit and i don't wanna pay a single penny  for this products.once i bought a chinese digital camera and it never served me well and it just gone within 1month...and i think its better to buy a brand product that buying 10 chinese products:@

now I need help finding one. I never use ebay, I don't know what to look for. searching the mp3 player category for chinese yields this which is exactly what I'd want if it wasn't $40 and only one gib. edit: it's not a knockoff but it's chinese and it says stuff in chinese

Try just browsing the MP3 player category and setting it so it displays the cheapest stuff first.

I'd go and just from that link posted in the original post, to just see other items that are being sold by this seller.  That is what I am going to do at least, depending on what FQ says about the product/and the transaction.
