I think I was around GW at like the worst time because I remember everyone posting stuff from shock sites and telling someone they'll get raped by 13 goats with metal penii and harlequin baby and I think I got here after the most prolific time making interesting games, or I dunno. Maybe not because I played Easy Mac and some chain games.

I just remembered that my impression of gw when I joined (I think I was 14?) was that it was a playground entirely dedicated to chef trolling and humiliating people until they left. Welcome and farewells seemed like this pile entirely made of ":oh god oh christ chef is my internet girlfriend i can never come back" or "chef made all my friends leave i... my internet journey cannot go on." This cannot have actually be how it was but I was terrified of everyone for some reason and I think resolved to be some kind of internet tough guy?? I wanted to make only good posts but all my posts were terrible anyway. And uh the turkpimp 'dying' thing happened around then. And we had an 'Anime and Comics' forum and kaworu talked almost exclusively about kaworu and transformers. And Porcupine Tree was popular.

Later I also have this memory of Sredni getting really really angry when it was him vs climbtree in the jone off finals. And this mspaint topic where steel had some kind of bloodmonster and people tried to get around it but "NO! IT S TOO FAST", "IT IS VERY FAST." And the great GW Fight with that whole people making photoshops of themselves beating each other up thing. And once I played soldat with Waluigi Soap and I won and I was like "hooray i have won for the first time" and soap said "you are terrible and will never win again."

I think the amount of stuff I remember about this website is kind of disproportionate to how much I posted.

well at least I'M still around 

heh... heh! yeah heh, it's not like that he... actually shaped a big part of my self-esteem and identity!!  when i was still new to this forum, i was really shy and i lurked in irc and never spoke to anybody until i got in contact with Chef (chef owns he was my icebreaker here). for the longest time my GREAT GOAL here was to be able to speak with Amark in irc or similiar and uh get to a point with english that i could speak with him as an equal. i was really nervous when i spoke to him for the first time in irc.
every time he said something about me or haha HOW I SPEAK ENGLISH or anything mattered a whole lot. literally/actually made me a happier person or constructed me in a way or another! and i guess the way how i perceive arts or life in general is pretty much shaped after his thoughts.
i fucking met him in NYC and in retrospect - with whatever insight, experience or knowledge i have now - he seemed like a really good, kind person and i wouldn't have regretted to move over to America just to be close to him.

there's lot of amazing and humorous things that have happened here over the years but right now it's sort of hard for me to remember most of them! besides i'm sort of living for the current GW in a way that i still check this place on daily basis to see if earl jamie dietcoke ragnar chef you ANYBODY has said something interesting here. ironically doing this while this place is on verge of social death (PRESS A RAPIDLY TO DEAL THE FINISHING BLOW!!)

besides my good close friends (high five Marge!! Guana!!), it's kind of ridicilous how much GW in general has shaped my views or the way how i perceive things. the train of thought or whatever. like not just amark, all of you cool guys. it's kind of weird that two biggest shapers are friends and a mostly american internet forum huh.
also the happy zoo topic and the LATKA FROM TAXI episode. besides steel, i... never said thanks about the whole thing but all of you who said nice things about me helped me a lot for that time.
