My oldest memory of GW..

I made a topic advertising the game I was working on. I forget what it was, but for some bizarre reason, I remember the first person to reply. It was Dhalamar, and he was really positive and cool about everything.

actually i'm still here on daily basis!! well, almost daily basis. i just don't comment much and that's usually because lot of times my responses stretch *puts arms wide* thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis big and i can't finish the posts. then i uh usually save whatever i had written so far to my desktop and forget it there.
also i don't think i can contribute anything sensible to the podcast (well there's one idea but it's a really short one) but obviously i work on the troubadour song thorough the time (lyrics take time).

Seriously, I remember actually being interested in indie games here. Last time I actually went to a game making forum was like a year ago. Hard to believe those forums used to be my most active ones.

Man I have a lot of memories here, but I think my favorite period was around 2005 or something when GW had a really tight hierarchy, tons of active forums, and we'd get these crazy new members every other week that stood out in hilarious ways.

Also, there was the clique with Soap, Corel, Chef, Kaworu and some other guys where everyone would write Soap songs and Soap fanfics. We'd literally just sit around on IRC and play video games basically all the time and/or make Soap art. I miss that and I miss Soap.

There are so many fond memories of GW that I don't really even know where to start. I can't possibly even remember fraction of all the awesome stuff that has gone down in the past 8-9 years I've hanged around here. A lot of has been mentioned already that brought a smile to my face. I guess what I remember most fondly is how active and awesome the IRC and the Soldat community of GW used to be a few years ago (2005-2006 mostly). To mention some other things I have fond memories of:

- Cliton
- Ultra Quest
- AnonymousGuy (all the GW4 game updates, he also did the clitons list and worked on UQs with eg. Saleop)
- Pyrate & BLiZZ (without these two the GW IRC would've never been as awesome as it was a few years ago)
- Hotmog
- isketch (seriously we HAVE to play this game again)
- arctic2 and arctic studios
- kaishin and tctotacon
- Wishmoo's and GGZ's spies and all the resulting drama, loved every bit of it
- all the pranks and funny songs etc we did with guys like steel, bart, ds, kalar, etc.
- habbo hotel and dalnet trolling
- afksafasf too much!!
