I never posted too much on GW but IRC was another home to me, some people might remember me, my handle was Grim.

I remember having some good times on Age of Wonders with Drule and Krinsdeath, I think Rowain and a few other people played with us every now and then. Me and Drule also went on an epic journey in the land of Pig Out! Good times on IRC man, I miss AnonymousGuy the most I think, that guy was always really cool to me and everyone else.

Soldat was fun I remember fighting against BJB or somebody for a higher rank and I remember that Auto Balance somebody made for IRC that everyone argued over.

But I guess we all kind of grew up / grew out of those types of things. It would sound sad to the outside world but I do consider some of the better times of my youth being on IRC playing random emulators/online games with everybody. Until WoW hit that is.

Steel on IRC was always fun times I remember back when V for Vendetta came out and we were both just like THIS FILM IS TRASH and we got to talking about graphic novels and eventually found out we both lived in NC. I didn't talk to him a lot after that but we used to play with the idea of hanging out together and I regret never taking up that offer.

Oh YEAH I also remember jamie being a huge dick to me on IRC (I could be a turd) I would just start talking and he would be like GOD SHUT THE FUCK UP, I used to hate him for it but once I got to know him he was one of favorites.

Remember all the game dev contests we had in G&D?

I remember a week after I joined GW on my old account, way before the forum pruning, I started a contest. It was literally just a poll deciding which RPG Maker game in-progress looked the most promising. I remember drawing up a bracket and everything. There were probably 20 people involved. Good times

tbh ive always had a bad impression of gw, the people here are so... negative? people just harp on each other and stuff, and it's always been like that, but i've tried moving on to other forums and i don't know what it is, but i just get bored and come straight back
it's like fetish porn or something, you just can't go back to watching regular porn again afterwards

Actually I think it's cooled down a lot since back in the day. There used to be a lot of assholes

btw who was the guy who posted screenshots of an rm2k game he was making for years (it never was finished iirc) and they were these beautiful dark purple gray melancholy enviroments with huge churches and stuff.
