nobody else feels like they almost AUTOMATICALLY had to have had better graphics than this, just by having EYES etc., and then they intentionally crapped up the graphics/made them duller, or put them through JPEG compression 50000 times to make the pay-to-play stuff look that much better/screw up people's perception of free MMOs (even if they aren't that great anyway but I'm sure there are some free games that COMPARE to paid ones at least)
it's like those cereal boxes where you can send in box tops to get free movies except they're this horrible crap that even USA (the cable channel) won't air. like Gigli etc. obviously a plot by the movie-making cabal to make the movies in the store/theater look suddenly watchable and enjoyable by lowering your standards subconsciously
Edit: or like those infomercials where the world before (product) is in black and white and people are being attacked by giant red X's and people are struggling to even boil water or microwave stuff and looking bewildered and confused like they had just survived a horrible accident but are incredibly disoriented, but after they get (product) the world is in color and cooking ten course meals and smiling and weigh 20 pounds less and they have an entirely new kitchen
Edit: I still think there was some other movie/etc. where they subconsciously made the earth tones the exact color of shit and all this other stuff that was very subtle but with the intent of making it repulsive while still appearing like whimsical fantasy world. This might've been advertising too, like man with PC in shit-toned room while man with Mac is in colorful vibrant hipster room
oh maybe I'm thinking of those internet ads where it has all the TRAPPINGS of an ad you've seen a million times before (lose weight etc.) but when you actually look at it it's really mutant and weird

Edit: It doesn't look that bad I guess but some screens clash very badly, and definitely a sense of 'I don't know what the fuck they were going for'
