i mean how do you people not have enough things to check out on the internet that are more in your interests it really gets to the point where it's like 'eh bored nothing to do I think I'll watch every lady gaga video'

or was it just like morbid curiosity one day because you can't get away from it

lady gaga is p. rad she just hides it

when it's just her playin' a piano and singing she's damn good but her songs as they get released.....idk what happens in the process, i guess GOTTA MAKE MONEY WITH THEM POP SONGS

like even fuckin poker face which is terrible came out as a really nice piano song, it's like it's not even the same song
that whole pop persona is what they love and think is so creative tho, when it's actually all just arbitrary or derivative and isn't even GOOD for being arbitrary and derivative. and this is a design class, they're supposed ot have this stuff figured out

but as far as super-popular female pop idols go she's probably the best one I know of in terms of attitude and even creativity
Edit: Probably the girl from The Knife could just SING NORMAL do traditional-sounding music but it's also a ploy to get noticed not that she doesn't think the music is good just making it stand out more. That "You Take My Breath Away" sounds like it would've been the most classic song ever in the 80's or something, if it sounded normal and not like public access television/eastern european borat commercial-fi
apparently lady gaga completely copied one of karin theknife's award ceremony things

this looks kinda cool i suppose

CUT THINGS

yeah some of that looks cool but in the context of being a game where you can cut up your enemies in any way you want while in bullet time is gross/dumb. I would play a game where all there was to do is explore an expansive, realistic city and cut up inanimate objects. and maybe cook and deliver food

oh yeah don't get me wrong those people tend to be pretty awful and yeah they mean her pop shit, i'm just saying she really is a good artist she just sort of keeps it a secret sometimes

also i cannot recommend harvester enough

actually the game looks stupid nvm

it's like even more into the sort of psuedo version of american that was just japanese people figuring what america was like from a bunch of action movies and would probably be REALLY WEIRD if you played some NES games today. Like all the american city levels in ninja gaiden were designed by mc escher

Edit: That really threw me off around like 2006 or something all videogame locations started suddenly looking like real places like Grand Theft Auto maybe for example but even Dragon Quest 8 when that came out all of a sudden it actually looked sort of genuinely EUROPEY like no longer some preconceived notion of what medieval times looked like (this could apply to americans too). They might've even like, you know, did research and crap. Maybe some church area in the game they looked at lots of pictures of westminster abbey just as an example. Far Cry seems like a pretty good representation of a tropical island like they were really concerned with accuracy for once not just like 'well they have water and palm trees'

Edit: Even sort of industrial settings where you don't have to try very hard seem more made to seem like a real place like I think Resident Evil 5 had a location like an oil field I think and it seemed pretty attention to detail not saying it's the most accurate game in gaming history but just struck me how much games had changed trying to make places look authentic. This new Metal Gear feels like it's taking a hundred steps back maybe on purpose because totally realistic settings don't look very much like a movie and kojima is moviefag

CUT THINGS
wow. that's actually really revolting. i don't honestly think i'd be able to play a game that had something like that as its chief gameplay dynamic. i can handle really graphic violence in a game, but really only if it's sensible. i was kinda nauseated by the way enemies can just POP in fallout for the first couple hours i was playing it, but after a while i got used to it. really when it was all said and done i thought it was probably a good idea, because it was just rather plainly realistic and kinda ultimately makes you think more about what you're doing. kinda amplifies the consequences of your actions more and shows killing as a real thing rather than something that the developers kinda senselessly glossed over. i would be less inclined to kill good people in fallout because i didn't really like to see them die like that, and i kinda feel like that may have been their intention, as they didn't really glamorize that part of the game.

but this is just disgusting. you're clearly meant to see it as COOL to cut people in half from head to groin. there wouldn't be a bullet-time function for this if that wasn't something they expected the brainless, rabid masses to feel.

i take back anything positive i ever said about kojima. he's just fucking disgusting.

I thought MGS4 was the last one kojima himself was going to work on, and somebody else is taking over the franchise? He might only be advertising or

nevermind I don't actually know where I even heard this information I'm broken halp

actually at second glance you may be right. he's listed as executive producer on this new game, which may mean that he's just collecting a paycheck for allowing them to call this game metal gear solid.

i wish there werent so many goddamn games about killing things. IDK it seems like I'm an OLDMAN complaining about violence on SNES or playstaion software but jesus man shit is getting so fucking ridiculously graphic that they're selling a game on slicing "badguys" in slowmo from neck to groin. What is this supposed to appeal to? why are people applauding this garbage? YEAH ANOTHER 3D WORLD WHERE I CAN KILL PEOPLE AND THEY BLEED ALL OVER THE SCREEN!!!

It is the first commercial game I've seen use physics like that which is kind of impressive but yeah it's a disgusting thing to have as a central gameplay element. I will probably pirate it to try it. I doubt it'll be very good

well. it's a metal gear solid game not really made by hideo kojima (gets paycheck for this though) that's selling point is ULTRAVIOLENCE POWERED BY BLURAY/HD and it has nothing to do with metal gear solid games (hundley was proven to be right about kojima!). no, i don't think you are growing too old yet dietcoke

unless i am getting him mixed up with someone else, in an interview kojima talked about how he got into the game industry AS a job, as in just a way to have a career.  idk i think the reason he just gets money from these things is because he's in the mindset that yeah this is a job and his job is to make money from it.  i don't think he sits around going YEP I'M MAKING ART FOR ARTS SAKE RIGHT NOW WITH THESE VIDCONS he's just there to make money and if he can do goofy weird things he wants in the process then good but the bottom line is that he sees this as a career.  he does talk about art or w/e but frankly i think he's just a career man first and should be thought of it that way.

I'm pretty sure I read before that he originally wanted to be a movie director.
