you know those chinese bread buns that you steam? i thought they were pretty light, so i've been eating alot of them, but i just now looked at the nutrition crap and they've got like 10g of saturated fat and 350mg of sodium in them per bun! holy snacks! there's msg in them and stuff. all these snacks are bogus. i always did feel a bit chubbed up and gross after eating them. i should trust my instincts with that, or just check that kind of stuff before i get into a habit of eating something.

i had three of them. that's 30g of saturated fat that is three and a half packs of instant noodles. jesus christ

why would you steam a bun i don't get it

wouldnt that just be mushy bread

i've never heard of these chinese buns

Oh, and I was going to buy a couple Mr Noodles because I saw they had a vegetarian one so I picked it up and flipped it over to look at the nutrifacts and it was like 1000% RDA sodium and a bunch of other ridiculous crap so I put it back

Wouldn't it be better to just eat a ton of eggs?

Maybe not because eggs aren't chocolate flavored
your cholesterol levels would be through the roof, plus it's cheaper/smaller amount to consume if you count the calories and protein and the amount of eggs+other stuff it would require to match that.

are they the ones filled with red beans? if they are then you can make them fresh pretty easily and just make a whole lot & freeze them for later

yeah it's the same kind of bun it's just these ones have a savoury filling. pretty much anything can go in them. i don't know if the red bean ones would be so junky, it might be the filling of the ones i was eating that had the msg and all that crap.

My wife & I make those things and pastys every couple months to freeze and heat up for quick dinners or snacks if we don't have any other options or just get lazy. They're really great because when you make a bunch of them they only come out to like a few cents each and in terms of stuff you can take out of the freezer and cook, it's pretty healthy

yeah i've been thinking of that for a while. it means i could have pastys with a filling other than cheese and onion for once. i've been getting progressively better with trying out different things and developing good habits when it comes to eating. every so often i throw my face into some 30c mi goreng noodles but no so much lately i think i've eaten enough to the point where the sight of them makes me sick. i'm getting a little rumbley just thinking about it.

but yeah, stuff like that is a good idea. i've figured it out now, i just need to put that kind of thing into practice. i'm totally good to cook anything in a pot and pan. that's mostly the only way i cook, which i got into cos if you aren't doing it right you can steer the whole thing back on track by adding other ingredients, or just pouring chili powder into the thing and totally cover up all the mistakes, also it's quicker, and pretty fun. baking has always seemed like a chore to me, but the results can make that worth it so i think i might try and bring that into the mix.

eggs are great but nobody wants to eat like a dozen eggs after working out(except maybe rocky), especially if you're the type of person who has a hard enough time eating enough to gain weight

egg vid

I saw this when it first came out on the internet (I was some sort of kiddo I think).  After that, just a few years ago I saw it on the Nicktoons Animation Festival.  I had forgotten all about it, and I had actually fallen asleep while the TV was on, but I woke up because suddenly I heard EGGS, GET YOUR EGGS HERE and I was surprised that something weird like this would show itself in my life twice like that.

Now it's a third time...
