wait, was the maths class something that took place in Bully or real life?? if it's the latter don't worry about it dude, pretty much everyone in my maths class immediately freezes up like a deer in headlights when asked to solve a problem publicly.

also please tell me someone else thought this post was sorta ambiguous because idk i remember reading that post about killerwolf electrocuting himself and thinking he meant that he'd just CAUGHT A BAD COLD from being out welding in wet weather so maybe my basic reading comprehension isn't what i thought it was?? or maybe the line between real life and games has become truly blurred.... this postmodern era..... pk dick smiles enigmatically whilst donning mouseketeers cap emblazoned with 'third eye' insignia....
if you fail math class in the game, you fail in real life.....

agh I just about gave up on ferrite beads etc. for better sound quality but now I put on some music and it sounds like it's literally INSIDE my headphones as in it's so airy and transparent it's actually hard to make them sound loud enough. Maybe this isn't surprising but I literally tried everything at one point (even stupid stuff like aluminum foil) and I just figured we had some fundamentally flawed infrastructure like 1940's wiring in our house, or it was the neighbor's appliances making things noisy (one neighbor still uses a big ass antenna for example) but now the audio quality seems pretty great/all my previous stuff sounds like crap

Video game :(
I got most of them right it wasn't hard. I just panicked and ended up trying to do it extremely quickly and made some stupid selections (there was also a time limit). Got 66% or something like that but it still failed me :P .

...welding...

Yeah dude, it's totally possible to get electrocuted while welding. Some welders use flame (oxy-acetylene welders) and some use electric current (MIG and TIG welders). If you touch the wrong thing to a wrong spot, electrocution.

In highschool I took a metal shop, and the MIG welders are in this little enclosed space, and there's like this metal "table", and you use this clamp thing to hold onto the metal rod that will be melted, and you hook another clamp (they are like the clamps you use for jumping a car battery) to the table. The most dangerous and crazy part is that it's SO dark with the mask on that you can't see what you're doing without the bright light of the welder, so you can like tap on the table to see where your joint is. Anyway the dangerous part is that you will usually switch the machine on, then position your rod close to your weld target, then put your mask down, and go to town. Sometimes you will accidentally touch the table or something and get BRIGHT FLASH LIKE THE SUN and it's fucking awful.
yes coulombs are "germaine", did you learn that word at talk like a dick school?

I welded before  in diesel class I had and if you accidentally touch anything but the object you intending to weld your horrible. yes you can get electrocuted but thats if your careless but there is another danger and that's caching on fire form flying sparks that the arc gives off also you can get sunburn

wasn't that just like stick figures or something though? I thought within 2 years from 1994 all games would become these horrible virtual reality simulations of mankind's worst fantasies/the news made it seem this way. Seriously fuck the news
it was in the International Indie Style and the designers had illusions of it being artistic so in other words it's way worse than anything you imagined

does anyone here golf? ugh I have to design a golf course but I feel like I'm asking does anyone here steal from orphans. apparently I've always had this feeling lodged somewhere in the back of my head that golfing is despicable in some way and I can rationalize it really easily but I guess it's not fair. you're from scotland jamie don't you golf?
I used to for a couple of summers. It's a really nice way to spend a day, you spend most of the time just walking around in sunshine and chatting with whoever you're playing with. I never got to know any other golfers apart from my dad, maybe they're all elitistic pricks. I've always felt that I should hate golf because of the stereotypic golfer, but there's really nothing wrong with the sport itself, it's like taking a long walk with a funny shaped walking stick.

The real problem was that it was so ridiculously difficult or we were so ridiculously bad at it that I couldn't take it anymore. I've honestly never swore like on a golf course, every hit felt like a personal insult. It looks so lovably neat and simple and then you can't even get the ball properly in the air. Playing golf is by far the most frustrating thing I've ever done.

yeah I guess you could say similar things about skiing and snowboarding, but I still snowboard even though sharing a gondola can be excruciating. why can't we be designing a ski slope instead

I guess you don't have any opinions on how to design a golf hole though? it's kinda like you have to be an avid golfer for any ideas to spring up which is pretty bad for us considering over half the class has never golfed

I'd like golf more if it was hitting balls around on some actual countryside or just in a wood or something. Then when they played it in different countries it would be way different. Whooooaoaaa it's the golf championship of egypt and we're doing a golf on some DUNES man, far out. Now we're in norway and we have to navigate some crazy fjords with our little balls and sticks. But nope, it's just the same god damn hilly snooker table everywhere in the world and the only different thing is the wind level which the players whine about anyway

I grew up between a golf course and a graveyard and the only things I used either for was drinking, peeing and sliding down hills.

Nope, sorry. The only thing that isn't completely obivous is to minimise the risk of somebody getting hit by a stray ball. They weigh suprisingly much so it's a real risk. I was always afraid I was gonna kill somebody because there was absolutely no telling which direction the ball take off. 70 degrees from where I was aiming wasn't even rare.

Just watched bear grylls and he was sleeping off a cliff in a tarp hung with an anchor point and the only thing I could think of was a joke and the joke was the rollover rate must be horrible.

yeah I was thinking about looking for a free golf sim but it seemed like too much of a waste of time

that's really helpful! the hole design is for a course in southern China, so that gives me some pretty big opportunities to draw from the kind of landscape around there. there are GOLFING STANDARDS that I have to follow unfortunately and it has to be a fun course to play from the professional viewpoint but I'll see what I can do

I was also disappointed when I first saw the Olympics on TV and the Indian team couldn't stretch their arms and legs and the Brazilian team wasn't all green and could electrocute the other players
