if you look at internet ads they do such a bad job at even trying to look true you can basically find out all the bullshit in the world by paying attention to them, no need for Pen and Teller. Like if you're on the fence about something like ACAI BERRIES IS IT REAL??? just look for the flashing internet ad with the weird cartoon character making jerky movement/obvious stock photo of some blonde lady

Today I started working after my three o'clock break and my boss showed up at like four thirty and asked me why I didn't wake him up and I told him its because I didn't want to put up with his bullshit because I'd get more work done.

Edit: Also Malaysians are hilarious, least the bunch we got working here. Theres a little old guy and he gets the deck mechanic whose a big black dude named rock to bark like a dog really really loud and wake all his friends up while they're passed out in the back. When he does this they all laugh hysterically, especially the small guy.

that's really helpful! the hole design is for a course in southern China, so that gives me some pretty big opportunities to draw from the kind of landscape around there. there are GOLFING STANDARDS that I have to follow unfortunately and it has to be a fun course to play from the professional viewpoint but I'll see what I can do

Chinese golf course should be all concrete and air filled with smog so thick you have to hit your golf ball 20% harder and the tv recordings have to be done with infrared cameras. The clubhouse should be built on the bulldozed remains of something of great cultural significance that was faithfully recreated in fibreglass a mile down the road

I ain't feeling up, infact on a real low right now, been on one since weds and haven't slept in two days either. Just I'm trying to work out ways of coping with it. Replaced cutting with smoking (and don't exactly know if it's any better! but atleast it's a less visible sign of insanity)

I didn't know they were still making Stronghold games.  But I preferred Stronghold to Crusader and didn't bother playing 2 so I guess I never kept up with it.  I used to love playing Stronghold though I should download it again.  My only problem is that I was only interested in city building and not fighting so it eventually gets to the point where you're sort of just DONE.

I played like a half hour of stronghold 2 when it came out and I remember thinking it was pretty terrible. I liked a lot of stuff in Crusader but the original was my favorite

the stronghold kingdoms game looks like it's more like the original and more about city building, but it's a "free MMO" so maybe you'll have to buy keeps or special buildings or something

I kind of like at least it sounds like a continuation of In Rainbows and not just like they're trying to increasingly make the most hopeless/awful music with each new album anymore. Like... they've actually found sounds/musical style they like?? (Radiohead music by people who don't like music) I almost think it's more creative than anything they did in Kid A period because it seems like they're sort of focused on what they want musically now - reminds me of the timeline of Autechre which was like do increasingly more noisy and dissonant/chaotic albums until 2001, then do one or two more albums that try to go further but feel uncreative in comparison, then drastic overhaul of sound in late 2000's (Autechre's being like, we'll do the most epic Sega Genesis soundtrack in existence) Radiohead almost reminds me of a darker version of REM now with the new song/video (weird things happen in stylish black and white filmography)
