thought you guys/vellfire might like this. They made a game based off POKEMON LOST SILVER which I think is kind of against the point to illustrate something that should be an image in your head but whatever

I dunno a different one

I couldn't hear the audio because my soundcard is weird but I'm kind of mystified by how subdued the colors and stuff are on Asian television/Asian music videos etc. it's not like MAXIMIZE EVERYTHING even though I guess it's only a matter of a mouse click to do that now. Like even The Price is Right now the people are all orange or pink or something

american youth's interest in asian culture is actually fueled by American television assaulting them with ridiculously saturated colors because color=mood and Asian television doesn't make their eyes bleed

i have a feeling that the 90s are coming back regardless of whether you want them to or not, mostly because popular culture is shaking off the coke-hangover of an 80s revival and really has no other idea of what to do

they've been back in part since summer. after that we'll have to start over at the 50s and 60s (largely what the 90s were anyway) because nothing has happened at all in the new millennium. this whole millennium will be a waste. cherish your childhood while you can still remember it because that's the best you're going to get.

i want it to be a 90's vision of cyberpunk. the 90's won't be good again until we have stupidly excessive technology. well, more of it.

has there even been a truly original decade. has there...

i think there was a lot of stuff over the past decade or so which was every bit as grotesque and ridiculous as anything the 90s secreted, it just mostly isnt anything we would think of as actually valuable at all. thinking about it tho most of the uh bizarre stuff / launchpoiints for the ragnars of tomorrow happened in film. shakycams and incomprehensible editing. smurfs 3d. alvin & the chipmunks 3d. marmaduke film. yogi bear 3d. zooey deschanel films or equivalent. orange & teal editing. maybe even YOUTUBE if that counts / sudden and unrestricted access to the 'mecca' of pipesmoking videos. also tim&eric and maybe some other cool peripheral stuff.

pop music and videogames (title of my new memoir about Growing Up A Pop Culture Junkie In A Dank Pit @___~ coming 2015, you'll laugh, you'll learn, it is "heartfelt" and sincere...) seem less interesting actually idk. I guess pop had vocoders and dubsteps or whatever as well as millionairesssss but other than that idk. a lot of the subculture stuff seemed p staid apart from like goofy blackmetal stuff or whatever. maybe people will retroactively obsess over chicago juke music or something and there will be a peaceful reign of "im a dog" music played in mcdonalds...
bigbudget videogames ie the stuff people will probably get exposed to first seem kind of boring too and the "smarter" ones more than ever (MORALITY CHOICES barf barf). i guess there is a weird obsession with contemporary urban interstices though like game magazines are just this endless flow of alleyways and fireescapes and sewers and warehouses mixed with iraq equivalent suddenly and you wonder if this is secretly the ""psychogeography"" of the last 10 years. abandoned urban wastelands devoid of life, industry, creativity and being stomped through by musclesoldiers.  i guess that condemned game series had you beating feral homeless people to death with pipes too which is idk at least very obviously awful. marauding black zombies etc. unlockables. DLC. creeping through wasted ruins of the future as seen in bioshock fallouts portal etc.

also internet things bleeding into real life, we may never know the true significance or eventual scope of this.. there may yet come a time when people greet me in real life by my e-handle of "ZweihanderSonicX002"...

early 2000's was ok if not for bush and stuff, it really was just an extension of late 90's up until a certain point. Even though all I remember about it was (let's shrink/compress The Matrix movies so it'll fit on any device ever made + ASCII version)

then again at a certain point it's not really the 90's as I mean it... like around the time of the Dreamcast's release

then again http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Confidential_Mission_Box_Art.jpg

but I dunno whenever the internet started mattering things kind of started to suck
