it's a shame that it's such a terrible mess because pc-88 Valis looks so fucking beautiful and evocative. it's so much better than 99% of everything else. it kinda reminds me of Xargon with the bizarre too-big colorful super saturated alien grasslands thing. plus pkd gnosticism as aestheticized into sword anime girl. if i die and get to heaven, i will spend eternity exploring space samus-style seeing every inch of all these beautiful secret world rainbow planets. i guess navigating garish mazes while fighting off monsters could be seen by some as a terrible punishment for a life poorly led too. i think it's interesting that my species has evolved to a point where as a lifeform i am more interested in imaginary planets and smoking pot than in propagating my genes
