I heard or read that fish protein is thebest protein. One it helps on brain cells making you wiser and also good for the heart.

When I was a kid I thought vegetarians become vegetarians because of diet or health issues, then just recently in my college years I learned most do it because they're against eating animals? because it's cruel or something.. I dno't know, but I can't really empathize with them, I so don't get it. I fucking hate it (my ex-gf was vegetarian)
The fish thing is about the omega fatty acids, not protein.

but it is a good source of protein  and is almost superior to any other meat out there when it comes to protein over fat.

Yeah.  You just have to be careful what kind and where you get it to make sure it isn't contaminated with mercury.

No it would be debatable if some people had proven that vegetable protein was better than meat protein.
But yeah dragonx's comment was still kinda stupid.

you are too naive

meat isn't manly unless you kill it yourself. there's nothing manly about buying a pack of meat in the supermarket. hang out at the deli, see who buys meat. men? 9 out of 10 customers will be middle aged women.

your mom buys your meat at the grocery store

I wonder if there is a eating philosophy that only eats meat and doesn't eat plant becuase you know, it gives us oxygen.

tofu is good if it's been prepared well

I have no idea what you'd do if you had the stomach flu and you couldn't work meat back into your diet, afaik a lot of the protein-rich vegetables also have the thick shells that are hard on the intestines or are difficult to digest for other reasons like peanuts
I think that some of the economic / sustainability arguments are worth paying attention to though.
the few arguments I've seen have been very one-sided. they seem to fall back upon "plants = green, good for the environment" a lot, but of course that's not really the case. crop farming has likely done more damage to the environment and destroyed more native ecosystems than anything else. it's good propaganda, for the lack of a better term, to get people to rally behind bison or yellow-shouldered blackbirds, animals people can personify. but when it comes to more abstract things like ecosystems or plant species no one gives a shit. I do think that nowadays we've got the ability to promote the smart growth of farmland, but I question our willingness to rally behind such a dry concept

I really really hope this is an argument against vegetarianism.

Really vegetarianism as a health thing doesn't make much sense, humans have evolved to be omnivores (not saying it doesn't work at all, just saying that having some meat in your diet is probably better). However if you don't eat meat for moral reasons (poor widdle animals)  then fair enough that's your choice.

Also Vellfire that song is amazing.

Why is some meat in our diet better though?  MEAT itself doesn't really matter it's the nutrients that do.

A pretty simple example would be the fact that vegans/vegetarians actually have to pay fairly close attention to their diets to ensure that they are getting the right nutrients whereas with an omnivorous diet aslong as you are eating like meat and vegetables/grains in fairly balanced proportions you can be pretty sure you are fine.

EDIT: Also from what I understand meat protein is the only protein that is "complete" (has all of the amino acids and other stuff we need), vegetable protein only has a partial selection of these and we need to consume different vegetables to get all of the protein components we require.

Not really since many omnivores are deficient in nutrients.  For example, most omnivores I know eat LOTS of meat and dairy and a LITTLE amount of vegetables (like only broccoli and potatoes lol) so it's pretty easy to get deficient in nutrients.  It's not hard for me, I know what nutrients are in what foods and which foods are high in what I just eat lots of fruits and veggies and nuts and seeds that are high in nutrients.

For example, around 61% of US people are deficient in Magnesium.
