I assume it will be sometime around when 1.9 official comes out.

I might need to take a break from this stuff, so I don't mind if it takes a while before the next reset. (Although I really shouldn't have wasted all the time I did playing after the previous reset)

I think we're best off to wait for 1.9 proper, 1.9 pre seems kinda screwy.

Newly Industrialized Country

pfftt.. what a misleading description for people who isn't experiencing the country itself.

For some reason or another, our world is causing the server program to crash upon startup now.

it's looking an awful lot like something has become corrupted.

FYI the server is up for now, but the map is pooched, so with 1.9 proper I'll put up a new map, until then you can go on and screw around if you so desire, but i don't think it'll be too long.

I think I'll start doing some occasional level backups when we start again.

the abandoned mineshafts have disappeared/are no longer in the same location. spooky

very spooky. maybe it's because the old map was generated in the prerelease version and he toned down the mines a bit.

on an slightly related note, i tried the same seed in 1.9 prerelease 2 and it's barely recognizable, but seemingly still related to the map we had.

there's no longewr plans on any official releases before the final release a month from now. what do you guys want to do as far as starting a new map is concerned?
