Man, I've been reading the archives for like... 3 hours now. I know you all know this but we had a really special place here. We had an amazing community, everyone was really funny, it was awesome. the good old days. I mean we still have a nice community, it's just obviously way small, and slow. I hope we can get going again someday, get a fresh bunch of people. I don't know if that would even matter at this point. Our community had grown organically for years and years to get to that point. I'm sad because I know one day we will stop meeting and talking on our forum. Some day we won't have an archive to look at and this entire thing that was a huge part of all our lives will be gone forever.

yes coulombs are "germaine", did you learn that word at talk like a dick school?

This is a good example of just how propagandistic the mainstream media is:

"Jerusalem is a flashpoint in the region. Both Israelis and Palestinians have claimed rights to the city."

East-Jerusalem belongs to the Palestinians. The rest belongs to Israel. That's how it is, and nobody disputes this (except Israel which claims it all as their own). The fact that the International Court of Justice investigated the issue and ruled 14-1 that East-Jerusalem belongs is occupied Palestinian territory is not mentioned even though it's as definitive an answer as possible.

I sympathize with you Goldenratio. I'm sure Dada is doing the best he can on making our new blog/forums. Yes, someone should make a picture thread.

I also think we need a cliche general name for the forum. Even just something dumb like gameplanet or creativeworld or some shit. I would never browse a random forum and think hey "SALT WORLD" sounds cool because i would just be confused by it. lets just go back to gamingworld even. stuff world. discussion dungeon. smartypants hideout whatever

Yeah I don't know. "Salt World" never really struck me as being catchy. I guess it's some kind of in-joke between some people or something, but who cares? I'd rather attract new members than cater to the past. I agree that it doesn't need to be "Gaming World" necessarily, but something just generic enough to draw people in, but not so generic that we don't have a focus.

I really liked the "Glitchworks" name (especially because it kept the "GW" acronym :3) but yeah too bad that site never really took off...

it'll be great in a bunch of years when we're all still posting here somehow and we can just call the place GERIATRIC WARD to get back to the gw acronym. it's worth pointing out that geriatricward.com is available right now......

Any name is allright as long as we're able to do something that makes people want to join/visit. Something like a troubs tribute album of a popular group (like the beatles one we did) ready for when the site launches, could get us an initial influx. Salt World does Sun Ra. A more generic name could get us lost in the sea of random websites, having something different that would make this place recognisible would be better.
