Mostly everyone here are already out of their teenage years and are very well living in the 'real world'. SW now is just a place to hangout with old acquaintances or for them to have a good time but it's not anymore as time-investy for people like in the old days.
So anyway this game topic is so that we can have a reason to discuss more about each other's lives snippet by snippet.

Every post should answer the question asked by the previous poster then ask another question for the next poster to answer.
It don't have top be all-serious posts though just honest one-liners would do.

q: is there a point where certain forms of irony and sarcasm become rote and lazy? and to actually ask and answer a question in a internet activity topic like this would be the subversive and interesting thing to do?

i guess my biggest wish when i was little was to leave scotland for good and move to the US. i didn't achieve that yet, and it isn't my priority anymore. i'd still like to live there sometime, but there are also other places i'd like to live. really, it is still the same ambition i have now - to completely detach from what my circumstances and i dunno, genetic make up (dunno), are set to determine for me. culture has always been a difficult concept for me to buy into.

I've had three lucid dreams I remember very clearly. The first was I was being chased by monsters and I realized it was a dream and turned it into a doom-like video game.

The second was flying and the third was making myself melt through my bed and through the floor. I also remember my first sex dream hahaha.

all of the GW projects, there was always a real energy around and it was cool to have people on IRC refreshing the page constantly and talking about what was happening. Like the astrojone and escape from fetus bay and stuff; or even during big arguments that everybody got involved in, like imaek coming out as a pedo or safari_goku's triumphant return after ascending to atheist philosopher (writing volumes).

that sort of energy and creativity was really great to be a part of, and i think characterised the community in its hay day

Its pretty much the only internet forum I post on these days, and the account I have here is the longest one I've ever run (being a bit under 8 years old).

When I was younger it was just an interesting place to visit and talk about stupid shit and try to fit in. More recently its had an effect on my views on various political and philosophical issues. Most prominently feminism and giving up tragically delicious fried chicken because its made by homophobic assholes (EDIT: important addendum: who use their profits to hurt innocent people in other countries due to their sexual orientation).

My loved ones have had little to no experience with GW/SW. (at least to my knowledge)

Is there a culture you identify with the most (other than GW)? Internet culture in general? eastern/western/northern/southern culture? Counter culture? or a sub culture?

No, in actuality: Shit, that's a hard question Warped. I'm sure most people feel they're like a zen diagram of tons of cultures of various kinds. I guess I identify with 80s gothic culture, irish culture, modern Jewish culture, internet humour. I guess entirely Western overall, even though I'm interested in other cultures for sure.
