No, it's even more generic than you think. I think that it's not their real goal though.

13 was the first episode which nearly covered two chapters in one episode. Still too much talking (thought it was like that in manga too) and I hope the next episode is better. The animation could have been better and I think the pace was ruined by switching between Itachi and Kisame scenes at poor moments.

The fight scenes were really slow and jerky. I don't understand how you see the good side of everything with each episode DS...

I'm update to date with the manga and I want to see the fight scenes animated but they were quite poor in my opinion. I honestly believed that they wanted to waste time in this episode. The pacing was so terrible that they didn't even change the scenes even slightly for the Itachi convo until like 15 minutes in.

Don't even try and say that floating on water is Taijutsu...

ps i didn't understand what was the point of the pic macubex posted at first but now i get it.

that's a pretty bad mistake! or maybe it's possible for him to stand on water because he has used chakra before (opening gates) and it's probably not all that hard but as far as i know, he shouldn't have any real chakra control so i think it's more likely it was a mistake since i didn't see him standing on water in manga chapters either.

There is one fight in part 2 I really hope will be almost non-stop action. This is a MAJOR spoiler so do not check this spoiler if you do not want to be spoiled. Naruto vs Orochimaru is imo the best fight in part 2 (although some fights aren't that much behind) and one of the best fights in the series. A lot of great action and I really hope it's animated by the same team which did 133.
