Also got a cheap Chinese PS2 controller because my official one broke and also a replacement ps1 memory card and was playing Tail of the Sun, which is a pretty funky game.

My PS2 controllers were malfunctioning so I bought an 8bitdo Bluetooth Retro Receiver and it works pretty great with most of the bluetooth controllers I've tried of it so far.

I actually bought an official PS2 controller off EBay but it had an error where PS1 games would keep pausing because it didn't recognize the controller, and I think maybe also PS2 games keep hitting left or right constantly so even navigating menus was impossible. The only issue with the Chinese controller is that there are no pressure sensitive buttons so MGS2 you can't ease off the trigger when holding up an enemy for example

I'm not sure if the Bluetooth adapter supports that come to think of it, but yeah I imagine it can be annoying to play MGS2 without the pressure sensitivity. I think the Dreamcast and Gamecube controllers had that too at least for the back trigger buttons.

Been playing a bit of Civilization 5 again, interested to see what they add to the formula with Civilization 7.

My favorite still is good old DOS civilization.

Any great finds on the Steam Summer Sale?

I finally got around to playing Papers Please and so far it's pretty solid. Can definitely see why it's critically acclaimed.

Currently I'm working on Super Metroid again, which I usually play each summer. Aside from that I recently beat Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

i had been a big fan of empires of the undergrowth for a long time. i loved every part of  it until the final release as i felt the last level they introduced didnt fit in with the rest of the game. otherwise it is a great time sync with over 1k hours in it. even though playing it u wouldnt think u would get close to that.

but for this year im hoping that kingdom come deliverance 2 and indiana jones are gonna be good. only time will tell

empire of the undergrowth looks like an expanded upon simant. Seems pretty cool!

I haven't played the first "kingdom come" game but it's on my list.

Beyond that I've got a significant backlog of indies to play through, and next on the list there is Before the Green Moon.

oh yeah, I got that! The style reminds me of the canceled Earthbound 64 for some reason, and I am probably not doing that well in it but it's a nice little ambient game. I think to maximize your funds you're supposed to get chickens and feed them apples every day, but they lay eggs every day too which is a much larger profit ratio than if you farmed

Something about the colder months always gets me in the mood to play games with loot in them, so I've been playing Borderlands 2 with myself and playing Diablo 3 with my buddy. Diablo 2 would have been preferred but it doesn't have split-screen so we are sticking with Diablo 3. I love couch co-op games.

I am playing a lot of travelers rest and I am finding it really relaxing and fun. I can’t wait to see what else they bring into the game. I really like the crafting aspect of it and I get excited about the new things I open.

I bought Adventures of Cookie and Cream for PS2 from EBay and am very slowly progressing through that. I got to the point where it branches out to the music world and the desert world, I tried the desert world because the music world was just too tough. I got through one level so far of the desert world.

I also realized I had a copy of Okami and played a little bit of that. Seems like for something Japanesey I'd rather just play Goemon though since it's a lot goofier while Okami seems very srs (well maybe a little humor but it sort of falls flat). Also there's Okami HD available on Steam so I would kind of want to get that but then again not sure how far I'll get in the PS2 Okami to begin with. I think in HD it kind of reveals the sketchiness of the style so maybe I'll just stick with PS2

Note: I only own PS2 and PC and an Anbernic emulation system at this point (which plays up to PS1 but can't seem to load everything (it requires very specific PSP-converted ROMs))

Also thinking of getting the first Pandemonium! game from EBay (it's one of the games the Anbernic won't emulate), is it any good?

but yeah I might think of more PS2 games to get but I was going through a list of all American PS2 games and Cookie and Cream was very early in the list (Adventures of Cookie and Cream), might find more I'm interested in but there's a lot of games I absolutely won't get, like Disney games and sports games. Also I can't stand RPGs anymore (ain't got no time for grinding) which is good anyway because those tend to be the super-expensive ones

How is Shadow of Destiny?

That's a really awesome looking mount. I just started up playing WOW, don't have my old account any longer so rolling a fresh character on WOW Classic. Just managed to get to level 23 today.

It really is, but it's an absolute pain to get. It's one of those secret finding mounts like the Lucid Nightmare, The Hivemind, and The Fathom Dweller. Though there's a red version you can get through a Mt. Dew promotion, and a purple one they data mined that people are guessing will probably be on the Trading Post down the line. I'm sorry to hear you lost your old account. You might try seeing if a GM can help restore it for you.

As for Classic, I don't really dabble much in it. I usually play Retail cause I just have this weird feeling that even though WoW Retail hasn't been what it was in a very long time, since about WoTLK, I still nonetheless want to play the game for where it's going, not where it's been. That and the storyline of the current World Soul trilogy of expansions actually has me quite intrigued.

Edit: My Wrathguard's name is Kill Gore Wrath, how is it even possible that a name could be this cool?

Currently I'm playing Sea of Stars on the Nintendo Switch.

So far I really like it, the battle system is like a combination of Chrono Trigger and the Mario and Luigi games. I hope it sticks the landing.

I got that vibe forom it too, but sadly it tapered out of enjoyment after about 12hrs of playing the game, spend about 5hr twice and by turning it on the 3rd time i jsut ... lost all will to continue it

Right now I'm currently in the middle of playing Trials of Mana. I really like the SNES version of this game, and so far I kind of like the modern remake though it's so heavily changed it might as well be a completely different game. I don't like the English dub however, there were times when I was kind of cringing in my seat listening to it, so I changed to Japanese subs which is a bit better. The gameplay is pretty fun overall, and I kind of like exploring around, collecting treasure and beating up bad guys, going to play a bit more of it tonight.

I've been getting into Balatro, it's an easy game to play on breaks or traveling around. Had my first win over the weekend and it felt good!
