Animal Crossing Playable Character
Someone at Smash world figured out that each of the playables has an icon next to their title on the character pages.
Each of the icons has this url: http://www.smashbros.com/en_us/images/icon/world_b_XX.gif
Replace the XX with a two digit number, between 01 and 18, and each of the numbers represents a franchise, one of these being Animal Crossing. That's why a lot of people agree that an AC character is probably included.
Also, here's a link to a topic in SMash World forums, where they have a translated Japanese interview with the AC creator, where he confesses to an AC character in the game, and his descriptions make it sound a lot like the protagonist from said games.

Edit: God, I am way too far into this.
Didn't they prove that the interview was a fake? I remember reading that somewhere on smash boards.
Regardless, I'll post the actual interview here for the lazy people:
Hidden content (Click to reveal)FAMITSU: Have you been approached to contribute Animal Forest elements for the new Smash Bros. game?
KATSUYA EGUCHI: Yes, and there is quite a funny story to it. A few months after E3 2006, (Masahiro Sakurai) contacted me and asked if I'd like to develop possible Animal Forest ideas for Smash Bros. Originally, we settled on just a quick, simple Animal Forest item, but with the success of Wild World and the Animal Forest film, he asked if I'd be up for designing additional elements. [Laughs] Fast forward a few months and I had stage and character concepts created. Sakurai chose his favorite of the stage concepts, slightly tweaked it to his liking, and we together decided on the final Animal Forest character, which is a very fun character to play. With both the stage and character I utilized ideas from the games. For example, if you play the stage at night, the sky will be dark. If you play in the winter, expect to see snow, and leaves in the autumn time. And yes, trees will be decorated on Christmas! It's really something else. I worked very hard on this one little stage! [Laughs] The Animal Crossing character is very much like the one in the games. You know, he will use his axe, fishing rod, bug catching net, and everything else from the games.
Also, if anyone can read Japanese, check this out and see if it matches the quote posted above:
http://img264.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p1010150xi8.jpgAn Animal Crossing character would be the LAMEST character in all of SSB. What moves would he do? Be your bitch? Move objects to kill cockroaches?
To answer your question, here's a quote from the interview:
The Animal Crossing character is very much like the one in the games. You know, he will use his axe, fishing rod, bug catching net, and everything else from the games.
About tonight's update, Pokemon Trainer's Final Smash:
This is pretty much exactly what I thought would happen. It looks like a pretty cool FS and the addition of the "it's super effective" is a nice touch and it brings back memories. I'm sad though, because seeing the smaller version of that third screenshot made Meta Knight look like Sonic. I need help guys...I'm starting to lose my mind.
Interesting side note...while I was typing this a random porn add popped up. Just felt like sharing.
EDIT: I know I said I'd drop the whole Mr. Resetti changing the camera zoom thing, but I just noticed something. See the third and fourth screenshots of PT's FS? Notice how the dialogue box stays the same size even though the third screenshot is zoomed out further? Gives my theory about auto adjusting text boxes some leverage, since final smashes aren't cinematic events themselves and don't directly influence how the camera acts.
Anyways, that is all. I'm done now. Please don't flame me. I hate fire.
I also hate doing homework at 2:30 AM, but I guess I'll go do that now. Stupid accounting.
