He is an Australian guy making a name for himself. He has an album coming soon (Guns Babes Lemonade), and the tracks Ice Cream and Sweaty have been really popular on triple j.
Be sure to check out all four tracks on the myspace there. Ice Cream is his biggest one, but each of them deserve a listen.

Completely agree. No one does it better than Daft Punk. Brian Transeau pulled off some good song too. He does repeat/remix way too many of his songs. Another good band is the Crystal Method. Their first album Vegas is pretty funky.

Too bad both groups are total whores now but at least The Chems had 5 good albums while I can only tolerate a few songs from Vegas. Even that album is so repetitive you could like literally listen to one minute of each track and get the idea. I also hate that whenever TCM has a fairly interesting track name all it means is WE ARE GOING TO PLAY A SAMPLE OF SOMEONE SAYING THE TITLE OF THE TRACK FOR 5 MINUTES. Like this really pissed me off when they had a track called The American Way on their Legion of Boom album.

Wha? If you only knew me in real life, XD. I am notorious for blasting electronica at any given opportunity.

From my experience, there's usually a few songs I like from an artist and the rest are shit. Though they are exceptions, like Daft Punk. I can listen to their albums from top to bottom (not so much Human After All).

Yeah Human After All was a disappointment compared to Homework and Discovery ;_;

Still... Discovery has to be my favourite party album. I play it whenever I can.

because everything you posted was "popular" electronica and you recommended compilations instead of albums. you don't really know a whole lot about the genre.

I know I like to listen to it.

Just because I listen to the mainstream instead of the lesser known artists doesn't make me any less of a fan of the genre.

And I still recommend self-created compilations regardless of what you say. I'm basing this off my personal experience from buying a lot of albums and only liking a few songs from the entire CD.

Btw, there was a guy who worked at my college who knew Richie Hawtin growing up.

Too bad he kinda sucks (Richie Hawtin I mean, the other guy was kinda cool)

Fans of minimal dig Richie Hawtin.

I'm not a fan but I like some of the stuff (particularly if it's cross bred with like house or w/e).

personally I like ladytron, goldfrapp, and miss kittin, it's somewhat pop-ish too, but it's electronica I guess.
