What is EVO? I did a google search on it, and the only game that came up was E.V.O. Search for Eden (which was okay, since it's like the fourth best SNES game ever) - but I doubt it's played professionally.

I think 3D gameplay won't happen, simply because too many SF fans are jaded by the EX series, and they all like 2D SF so yeah. 2.5D (3D graphics but a 2D plane) is much more likely, and 2D at best sure. Street Fighter's rival (King of Fighters) is still 2D (King of Fighter's XI) so...

And I'm expecting a lot of old characters along with sakura from SF2 to return.

Are you forgetting that KoFXII was announced as well? Also yea I am guessing it will be 2.5D based on the trailer (which pretty obviously used 3D models) or it could work like KoF2k6 which actually got movement on a 3D plane while retaining 2D mechanics down pretty well.

doa4 sucks and sf doesn't for starters
