seems like a good fit imo.
if someone doesn't see a dark side to Alice in Wonderland, do they really know anything about the story at all. but it is true that a lot of burton's recent stuff has been shit, and if charlie and the chocolate factory is any indication, this won't be that great either. chocolate factory was alright for what it was and supposedly closer to the book, but the first movie is still so much better.
Unlike Charlie and the Chocolate Factory though, Alice in Wonderland has been put to film
many, many times. I don't see this upcoming incarnation ruining or displacing "the original" to any extent. I think it'll be an interesting take on the story, and actually I'm kind of looking forward to it! hot topic and mall goths etc are disgusting and unfortunate but I'm not going to let that shit determine my movie taste
