Heh, well, I guess musically I'm interested mainly in rock and metal, generally heavy and power metal, (And some Jpop of course :P) but I'd never turn any music away just because of the genre. Often when people say 'I like a bit of everything', it's followed up with '...except filthy hip-hop' or something to that effect
I play the bass guitar as well - I think I'm pretty good, but I'm definately no Cliff Burton!
Academically, I'm very interested in History and Politics, as reflected by the fact that in Sep/Oct I'll be off to uni to study... wait for it... History and Politics! I used to like ancient history, but 20th Century history is really growing on me now.
A bit of a given perhaps, but I like comedy, subtle, character-based stuff, as well as the more obvious side of it. Observational comedy always goes down well with me.
...oh, and I've noticed there's a mod here called Myke, my name isn't some creepy homage or something :P My friend was just trying to spell my name, Mike, out loud once, and inexplicably spelled it 'M...y...a...k...e' and it stuck.
I'm still not exactly sure whether it's pronounced 'meeyake' or just 'Mike'...
But yeah, it looks like a good forum here, hopefully I'll enjoy posting on it!
