Hello! I signed up a few weeks ago, but have been largely lurking since then. So I'm still pretty much new. I'm 17 and located in the UK, massive fan of RPGs and RPG Maker, so I expect I'll be in the videogames or one of the game development forums most of the time, hopefully eventually get to demo stage with my game. Never got into RMXP that much, I mostly use RM2K with a bit of 2K3 occasionally.

I'd say my absolute favourite game would have to be Suikoden II, but many come close, like Disgaea, FFVI, FFVII, Breath of Fire IV, Fire Emblem 7, Tales of Symphonoa etc. etc. I'll like most RPGs, though I have a leaning towards the old PS1 and SNES ones... fan of anime too, I could probably say I'd like msot anime, but my favourites at this very moment are Fullmetal Alchemist and Negima!.

But yeah, hopefully I'll be posting a bit more in the future. I'd been using GW for a few years for RPGMaker anyway, but never really went on forums too often.

Heh, well, I guess musically I'm interested mainly in rock and metal, generally heavy and power metal, (And some Jpop of course :P) but I'd never turn any music away just because of the genre. Often when people say 'I like a bit of everything', it's followed up with '...except filthy hip-hop' or something to that effect  I play the bass guitar as well - I think I'm pretty good, but I'm definately no Cliff Burton!

Academically, I'm very interested in History and Politics, as reflected by the fact that in Sep/Oct I'll be off to uni to study... wait for it... History and Politics! I used to like ancient history, but 20th Century history is really growing on me now.

A bit of a given perhaps, but I like comedy, subtle, character-based stuff, as well as the more obvious side of it. Observational comedy always goes down well with me.

...oh, and I've noticed there's a mod here called Myke, my name isn't some creepy homage or something :P My friend was just trying to spell my name, Mike, out loud once, and inexplicably spelled it 'M...y...a...k...e' and it stuck. I'm still not exactly sure whether it's pronounced 'meeyake' or just 'Mike'...

But yeah, it looks like a good forum here, hopefully I'll enjoy posting on it!

P.S. I know it was just a list of examples, but I can't believe I left Grandia off my great games list. I'm sorry, Grandia!

Suikoden 2 is indeed awesome. And so is Grandia. And FF7. And so on.

Welcome!

Also, you should visit #music since you seem to be interested in music! I'm sure HybridZero would like to have another power metal fan around....... :naughty:

Well, that's unfortunate. I was really hoping...

Also, good taste in games. Suikoden 2 is my favourite game too!

We have so much in common...

Except my name is ACTUALLY Myke and not just some cool way to spell Mike. Or me...a...key or whatever.

You like Breath of Fire IV too?

Hey there. I haven't been around for long either, but I have to say, G'day. If you're a fan of BOF IV, I like you  :fogetbackflip:

Heh, thanks everyone! EDIT: Yes. Even Verilo!

Yeah, FMA ftw, Nessiah! I've just seen episode... 36. Definately one of the best anime series I've seen, so far.

And many people seem to like BoF IV, haha. Best in the series, in my opinion.
