Found this game from YouTube. Funniest game I ever played, good job guys. When I got to the first boss and he screamed B-BALLS, I was just like, oh shit, this is gonna be epic. Good game guys, I look foward to playing some more, etc.

And i will clear this up: this was just a rather bad reference to steels speculation and "revelations" about the "possible" sequel of The Hoopz SaGa. My intention was more harmless than what i meant it seems - not that my joke was particulary good, it's actually pretty bad!

The file at "Download Link 2" (talesofgames.gamingw.net) throws this error when tested or decompressed:

\BarkleyGaidenV108.zip: CRC failed in Barkley Shut Up and Jam Gaiden\Music\_death.mp3. The file is corrupt

The file at "Download Link 1" (devscape.org) does not have this problem (and has a different MD5 sum).

I've registered just to find someone who could answer my question about what are the recommended specifications for running Barkley Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden. Every time I run it (and I seem to have all the files and DirectX 9.0c since I had a friend with the same number of files, same version of DirectX, and same OS and was able to run the game perfectly), it says "Unexpected error occured when running the game."

I had the same problem as megaweapon and wasn't able to extract the file downloaded from link 2. Lame. Downloading again will take valuable time.

Dude, it has nothing to do with your graphics card. The DirectX specs are a joke.

That’s right, you have the young gaming with the old(er), white people gaming with black people, men and women, Asian countries gaming with the EU, North Americans gaming with South Americans. Much like world sporting events like the Wolrd Cup, or the Olympics will bring together different nations in friendly competition, (note the recent Asian Cup; Iraq vs. Saudi Arabia, no violence there) we come together. The differences being, we are not divided by our nationalities and we do it 24-7, and on a personal level.

We are a community without borders and without colours, the spirit and diversity of the gaming community is one that should be looked up to, a spirit and diversity other groups should strive toward.

I might as well list my specs for the hell of it:

512 MB RAM
32 MB video memory
S3 Graphics ProSavageDDR video card

May be some files are corrupt, i get this problem the first time i downloaded the game, try downloading again.................................

try downloading this:

replace the old exe and include the new dll.

if it doesn't work try renaming the music folder to anything but music. tell me if any of this works.

Just beat it. Really, really good game. Overhyped to hell...but I'm not going to say it was undeserved, because it's obvious a lot of time and work went into this game. It was a different kind of game, and I wish there were more around like it.

Great game, though, and when (or if?) chapter 2 comes along...I'll definitely give it a download.

hype is funny because the people doing it didn't make the game. I wouldn't call that hype at all, actually, I'd call that word of mouth!
