Love the game...till it suddenly crashes.

It happens after the chase scene. You know the one, very close to the beginning. After it ends and Jordan says his 2 lines, it just suddenly crashes (Barkely Gaiden has experienced a difficult and needs to close), with absolutely no hints as to what went wrong, and always in that same spot. Plays fine before that, except there's an odd sound whenever music changes or repeats. Does anyone know what happened? No one else seems to have this problem...I did the obligatory virus/adware scan abd restarted, but it still doesn't work. I've downloaded an older version, same problem. Totally clueless on this one.

two other peope in this thread had the same error. some guy said he did this to fix it:

I figured out how to fix it.  Go to command prompt and type "regsvr32 /u ac3audio.ax".

ac3.exe or something like that is the cause of the problem (you should get this in the error report).

Phew, thanks a ton. I looked through a lot of pages here, but apparently not enough. That explains the error message (I sifted through the error report to ac3v whatever, but had no idea what it was or what to do with it), too.

First off, I am LOVING this game beyond words. Such brilliant parody mixed with an unexpectedly engrossing storyline (especially for being such a silly premise!).

However, I'm having an issue where the game freezes JUST as am about to reach Necron 5 via Cyber-Dwarf's ship, showing just a black screen and my party. I am forced to Ctrl+Alt+Delete and end process the game at this point.

Anyone else have this problem, or a way to circumvent/fix it?? I'm soooo close to the end!!

download the newest version, saves are compatible. also post the game_errors.log in the exe directory if it does exist.

if you have v108, try this also:

delete the old exe, make sure the new exe and both dlls are where the old exe was.

also if the game froze once there this may be a rare bug i am not aware of, but try doing it again to see if it works.

Added pictures, Story, Features, Advertising Campaign, Development history, sequel etc. Pretty much everything you see on there. I even added the official Japanese title of the game. I can't believe I spent more than an hour and a half as this shit.

Why did you remove half the article. I do not appreciate this and you are messing with legacy and legend. Most of this is taken from legitimate documents.

I may be a "Wikipedia Asshole", but I assure you, I am one in the pursuit of free, open, and well-sourced knowledge, and not the unholy quest to refer to the latest Family Guy episode in every article imaginable. The constant, unwavering defense of Wikipedia is the only way to stop the vandal hordes from turning legitimate documents on the succession of French kings into the unreferenced annals of Middle Earth genealogy.

If more people like me existed, the Great Library would have never burned, UNIX and its libre clones would perpetuate throughout the general market, and there would be Progressive Rock radio channels. But I guess the world is not ready for having every piece of human knowledge at its collective fingertips...
